I think the Luna high tide ukulele is a great addition to my musical arsenal. I plan on utilizing its sweet tones for a very long time.
Sound
The Luna High tide tenor has a very clear tone. The projection is brilliant. It sounds great acoustic as well as plugged in.
Ease of Use
once you pick this tenor ukulele up you can not put it down.
Quality
This ukulele is put together very well. The second fret seems to snag the finger once and awhile but I can easily get over it. I gave quality a 7 due to the fact the pre amp has a short in it. When it shorts out I have to take the pre amp out and push the wires around a bit and it works perfect. The only reason I have not sent it back for a new one is I want to keep this ukulele, I really would only want the pre amp replaced.
Value
Zzounds Had the best price on the high tide luna ukulele hands down.

I bought this uke as a step up, after receiving a soprano ukulele as a gift from Hawaii that couldn't quite stay in tune for me. The tenor size is great as i am a tall individual with larger hands. The instrument came well packed in a timely fashion. The satin finish is a nice touch, as a glossy finish would make it something you wouldn't take to the beach with you, and isn't that the point of having a ukulele, right?!? Playability was great right out of the box, no noticeable buzzing on any frets. The inlays are very nicely appointed. I like having the on board preamp, great for amping/recording.Great value! The only negative i would have to say is it seems part of the electronic cable harness is not properly attached inside the body cavity. It hasn't caused any excess noise or rattling, just a small quality issue, imho.

The uke is nice. The wood is nice the layout is done with no complaints except for the abalone inlay. Mine arrived with the waves building up towards the moon as it moves up the fret. The ablone is dark and does not pick up the light well. Looks and replects light like oyster shell more than ablone. If the shell was brighter I would put the WOW factor at a 5 but as it sits I would give it a 1 1/2 stars becuase of the disappointment. My other complaint is more for a lefty such as me. The amp jack is placed at an angle and when it is pulgged in the cable and jack shoos out at an angle towards the armpit. Just an annoyance for us lefties using a righty.
