The kit is amazing. Great sound for such small sizes. The kick drum "ringed" a lot...so I had to put a small blanket in and get a softer beater to give it more of a "thud". The stock drum sound really good, but the snare is already starting to wear after a month of periodic use. I got the white sparkle kit, but it is more silver than white...which is a slight disappointment. As for zZounds.com...I received the kit 3 days after placing my order!

I am a music educator and a professional musician. I play out about 4-6 times a month, and have grown tired of lugging my set around. I have my first gig tonight with the Questlove kit, and I am very excited. The 16 inch bass sounds fantastic. I am still playing with the tuning. So far, I have not muted the bass. It is very punchy. I am going to mount my internal May Mic system this weekend inside the bass. 10 inch tom and 13 inch floor tom sound great! They are warm, and have nice decay time. The snare drum is OK. So far, I'm not too impressed with the snare drum. I am going to give it a chance tonight though. I replaced the batter heads with REMO pinstripes, and changed out the cheap bottom heads that came with the set. I put the 13 inch batter head on the bottom, and a new pinstripe on top. I replaced both top and bottom heads on the snare, and it is much better. The finish is BEAUTIFUL! The sparkles really stand out! I'm looking forward to set up and breakdown tonight! Great kit for the $. My students are very intrigued with the idea of portability. I teach rock band in my school full time, and my students play out periodically. I may even "Roadie" my kit for them to use! Go out and buy one if you play out a lot! I already know that the bass will sound fantastic through a P.A.! As far as the rating system below: I just received the lit yesterday. No need for Manufacturer support! Everything was delivered in great shape! Thank you Ludwig! I'm no longer a PEARL guy!

Ordered the White (Silver really) Kit along with Zildjian CHT Cymbal pack and Ludwig 400 hardware kit and arrived in perfect shape in 2 days. Took it out this weekend on a men's Cursillo retreat with guitars, trumpets, keyboard and about 20 voices. This kit really rocks and sounds great even with the stock heads. Once I upgrade to Evans it will be even better. For a small and portable kit it can't be beat (well it can but with some sticks of course!) :O)

Got mine a year ago. Very fun and compact yet sound bigger than they are. Only complaint is the legs on the floor Tom are a little short sits too low. They are my go to drums. Like many other older drummers I'm tired of lugging full size kits. This ones great

Well it's not the Ringo Ludwig super Classic kit ... but this is a great little kit in it's own way! nothing wrong here at all it sounds great for it's size ...Ludwig did a nice job!

I have been playing for thirty years and have owned 3 different ludwig kits. This one is SWEET!!!! It has a great punch and is very, very portable. I can fit the entire kit in the trunk of my car. Which was exactly what I was looking for!!!!
