I have several of these stands and haven't had a problem except that initially the boom angle would not stay in adjustment. I found that a little lubricant on the threads of the clamp made a world of difference. Now it holds fine.

If you're tired of stands that fall over too easy and have floppy legs and worn clutches, then you need to dig into your wallet and spend a little more on these K&M stands! I have been using K&M for almost 30 years, both in live sound and in installed systems. They have great attention to detail and it shows in their products. I swear by them!
