This is a great no frills Uke. Has plenty of sound and good wide string spacing for heavy handed pluckers. I tried out six or seven Ukelele's and kept going back to this one in the shop. Most of the Uke's I tried were had more aesthetic appointments (prettier), but this plain jane just sounds great and that's what I really wanted. For the price, it blows away the competition and can hold it's own against some higher priced concert Uke's. Took about a week for tuners to adjust but after that my strings stay tuned and this thing sings.
