I bought this speaker to go into a Laney Cub 10 combo. The original H&H speaker sounded okay for cleans but it didn't handle overdrive very well at all and the amp overall just sounded very dark. I installed a Ragin' Cajun and it definitely handled the dirt much better than the stock speaker, but it was also very,..very loud and didn't sound very good unless it was turned up to a louder level than I normally play with this particular amp, and it was still too bass heavy for my taste.Well, this speaker and a couple of JJs pre amp tubes has got it sounding just about right. It brightened the amp up, brought the volume level down to a more reasonable level, (still pretty loud for 10 watts through a 35 watt speaker) and has completely changed the character of the overdriven sound. My Laney now has the Princeton-like sound I was looking for, and I suspect it will sound even better once the Jenson has fully broken in.The Jenson speakers are also more reasonably priced than most other speakers made in Europe or the US.This was my first Jenson speaker purchase, but I will definitely look into them again in the future.

Installed Jensen C10Q Vintage Ceramic Guitar Speaker into my Fender Super Champ X2. What an amazing difference!!! Forget the higher priced Emminence, Celestion, etc. This speaker is awesome. You won't believe the difference: great sustain, great breakup, powerful lows and ringing highs. If you want vintage 60's Fender, then the is the speaker for you!!!!

"Perfect Speaker for Classic Blackface Sound!"

Bought this for my Super Champ XD. I loved the stock speaker but it was blown. I wanted a replacement that kept the blackface sound. This speaker is perfect and it actually is an improvement over the stock. It keeps the same sound of the stock but improved quality especially on the over drive tones. It's definitely noticeable. I highly recommend this speaker for any Fender to get the classic blackface sound...especially the Super Champ XD or X2! Shipping time and price were terrific from ZZounds.
