I had been using two Carvin LS2 15" speakers as our main PA. I wanted to get rid of the power amp and switch to powered speakers. I've been researching these for a few months, and decided the JBL EON610s were the way to go. They have plenty of boom on their own for small venues, but I pair them with two EV ZX-A1 subs, and we have plenty of power, low end and clarity now. I gave them three stars for value because they are not cheap, but they are worth the price.

Have used many different speakers over the years. I play small gigs. Vocals, accoustic guitar. These speakers deliver the goods. Great highs, super lows. I can only imagine how good the twelves and fifteens are. Dont waste time with Mackies or Behringers.

These speakers are nice and light, they look great and the they seem durable. The features are complete and the combo inserts are great. They hiss though, with the main limiter turned to 1/2 and channel 1 turned to 1/2 there is quite a bit of hiss. That would bother me too much, but they also are not very loud. I was expecting a lot more for the money. I wish they would have kept their bluetooth and eq stuff and put that money into more powerful amps or something. The idea that these things are running at 1,000 watts must be a joke. They sound more like 100 watts each. I wish I would have gone the QSC route but return shipping on these is $50 each, so I'm kind of stuck.I was able to get a nice sound from them running my Martin DCPA4 through an LR Baggs DI into a Mackie FX mixer with some reverb. I'm sure vocal reproduction will be great too, but nothing is going to make these louder. Luckily I'm doing a solor/acoustic thing because if I were still in a metal band competing with two half-stacks these little guys wouldn't cut it.

A couple of good things Light weight speakers easy to travel with, I have them for 4 months now used them once a month only I think for the price I paid same commaybe the size, maybe the quality, but it is right the gentleman who said that, I spected better quality from JBL but not at all just more expensive than others, I am going to have to buy aditional speakers to have the reall 1000 power they said the speakers have wich I don't think so, any ways If i have to buy them again I wouln't do it at least for the same price. $600 plus NY tax is not worth the price Good luck
