this is a terrific buy for anyone with old vinyl lps...mine date back to the 50s and 60s and now are entered on my laptop and ipod without any difficulty...i am amazed at how good the sound is after all these years of sitting on the shelf in our basement store room..thanks so much for carrying this indispensable tool for older music (jazz) afficionados like me...fkpp@aol.com

"cassette tape conversion"
When trying to convert cassette tapes the sound quality is terrible. Any suggestions?

"Needs to be updated"
The In Profile turntable works great when recording to your PC but has 2 major drawbacks in regard to recording to iPod. First and foremost, it only supports iPod Touch 2nd Generation and below. If you have a 3rd or 4th Gen, you're out of luck. Unfortunately this is not specified when ordering online and it proved to be a waste of the extra money for the direct to iPod option. It did well recording to my PC though. The second drawback is that if you do have a 2nd Generation or less iPod Touch, it only records to the "Voice Memo" app and not directly to iTunes.Save the extra cash and buy the Ion Profile turntable without the iPod direct recording and just record to your PC. The download version of the software automatically converts the files to iTunes and you can just Sync them to your iPod.
