"Great job on the premium set Ion!"

GREAT product, definitely worth the upgrade from the RB1 set (i would assume the RB2 set as well, they're basically the same). If you're a drummer that loves your video games and don't want to take the time/effort/money to mod a higher-end set for use with rock band, this baby is for you.
Sound
Not really much to say about the sound, it's an electronic set and i don't have the drum module. As far as volume, the pads are quieter than the stock RB1 drums. I've heard the RB2 drums come with silencers so I can't compare that.
Features
Packed with features as far as video game controllers go. Highly adjustable, you can move the drums/cymbals wherever you want with wing nuts. Also, the pads AND cymbals are velocity sensitive, so the louder you hit them the louder they will play in rock band.
Ease of Use
Ease of use.... as far as the set-up, it takes quite awhile and the instructions aren't too detailed, but even so putting it all together is quite easy (though a little extra length on the eye bolts for the cymbals would have been nice). Overall, took between 1 - 1.5 hours for me and I haven't ever set up an electronic kit before.
Quality
Once again I'm grading this as a game controller, not a full-fledged electronic set. The quality is great! It feels natural (once you get a feel for it anyway) and is highly adjustable. Good bounce on all the pads, not loud, the whole thing is stable, it just don't feel cheap at all. (still, be careful not to over-tighten anything) also of note, the pedal feels much more solid, it's looser and easier to press, a bit louder but it's worth it to not have a pedal that's going to snap on you. one more thing, the tracking is way better, you get a lot less dropped notes. this is pretty important in RB2, as I've already run into a few songs with very fast straight 16ths on the snare that i KNOW would get dropped on the RB1 set but i can get up the 4x multiplier easy with this set (provided i pay attention to the tempo :P )
Value
Pricey, but worth every penny if you're into drumming and like to play rock band.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't actually dealt with Ion, but I pre-ordered the set and it arrived the day after RB2 came out (i pre-ordered late, from what I hear if you pre-ordered in august they came the week before RB2 was released)
The Wow Factor
This set makes chicks dig you. Or if you're a chick and you have this....... call me.

"Excellent. I can't say enough good things about this drum set. My fiance is 37 and a serious gamer when it comes to music game"

I'd replace it with the same one at this point. The only reason I'd buy something different would be if my fiance decided to get more heavily involved with playing the drums, outside of Rock Band.
Sound
Excellent product! I bought these drums for my fiance and he loves them! The pedal is very strong, unlike the one's he's had before that broke. This one is solid! Easy to use, easy to set up. The only down side is that they aren't wireless, but it's such a small inconvenience that it really doesn't matter. They're quiet and easily adjustable to suit your particular style. For a "toy", they are as close to professional quality as you can get. We looked at drum sets at the music store. For the same type set up & quality, they wanted $700. Overall, I'd highly recommend this drum set to anyone.
Features
Best feature is the kick pedal. It's solid, doesn't break and stays where you put it. Worst feature, if I had to pick one would be the fact that it's not wireless, but the drums are so good that the wires don't matter.
Ease of Use
My fiance is very talented on the drums. He found it to be very easy to use. Our teens have used it and loved it as well.
Quality
Excellent.
Value
Excellent value!!
Manufacturer Support
I rated this a 10 because I haven't had any problems. The only experiences I've had with the company was ordering it. Ordering was simple and delivery was fast.
The Wow Factor
It's a must!

"Ion drum rocker"

All around great except the bass pedal and the loud plastic sounding cymbals
Sound
it sounds like hitting a drum practice pad.
Features
Great features all around except the bass drum pedal. To me it is way to loose. For people that just play rock band and not real drums you will probably like it.
Ease of Use
Well its the video games sound so all you do is calibrate it.
Quality
Great! Way better than base model drum kit.
Value
Well of course i am going to say it should be cheaper but so should everything.
Manufacturer Support
Yah
The Wow Factor

Ever since I had heard about the Rock Band 3 game coming out and you could actually learn how to play the real song I have been trying to find a electronic drum set to use. I had gotten and destroyed 4 different drum sets and could never truly enjoy playing. But now that I have this set I can enjoy and have been able to greatly increase my skill level. thank you zZounds

"Awesome rock band drum kit"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Sound
This drum kit is great. If you are a drummer and enjoy playing rock band, this set is a must. It will immediately improve your scores because, unlike the std rb kits, it works. The bass drum pedal is great. The cymbals are very good but not perfect. Sixteenth notes on the high hat cymbal are still occasionally missed, but not enough to be bothersome. The set-up is easily customizable into whatever your favorite drum set configuration is.
Features
I purchased the extra cymbal and in hindsight, should have purchased a pintech cymbal. The pintech cymbals are a little bit nicer for the same price.
Ease of Use
Easy to set up and very easy to play.
Quality
This kit is solidly built. I have had it about two months and it is holding up very well.
Value
This kit is expensive, but if you play drums alot on rb then you will be spending this money over time as you break the rb std kits.

Ion Audio Drum Rocker Set Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

It's a great deal.. go for it..
Sound
Well they don't make sound on their own so don't know if this really applies.. But I will say that Rock Band 2 really takes advantage of these drums, the sounds soft or hard depending on the hits and in drum trainer mode the game can tell the difference between the hats/cymbals and the pads (so even though it's green it will play a tom if you hit a pad or a crash if you hit the hats/cymbals)
Features
More then meets the needs for playing the game. The build is extremely sold and though people complain about the hats wing nuts not being metal they are just nitpicking. The pads have a very nice bounce and the metal/plastic kick pedal is light years beyond the cheap plastic standard kick pedal. The set is made out of sturdy light weight aluminum tubing, heavy plastic (for the rims and parts of the kick pedal Please keep in mind that this is a game controller so drummers out there its not a set of V-Drums and they will never be so relax..
Ease of Use
Takes a bit of work to setup and get adjusted properly but once it's done it's easy to use.
Quality
Pretty damn good.. specially for a game peripheral
Value
Buy it... totally worth it..
Manufacturer Support
No idea haven't needed any support..
