I've been using Ibanez Tubscreamers since the early 80s and I still have my first TS9 that I've purchase back in 1980 when I was in High School. I've compared the more recent TS9 reissue and there is defenelty a subtle tone difference. Perhaps, there has been a change in componets, but this Anniversary TS9 model does sound true to my early 80s TS9. The newer TS9 reissues have a fuzzy drive to them, not so with the early 80s model and with this Anniversary issue. Grab this one while they are still available. I've ordered two of the Anniversary TS9 models, one to put away and one for the pedal board.
