This is simplicity at its finest. I was tired of trying to fine tune 2 pedals on my board. Replaces a A.M silver mod TS 808 and Fulltone Fat Boost. Wanted a "One and Done" pedal and this is it. Step on the boost for a solo lift! Great OD tone unless you are looking for something more extreme or distorted. Makes my amp grunt when over driven, and sing when boosted. Builders claim to make a "better" tube screamer. Do yourself a favor and try it - if you are in the market for a TS, buy from the inventors of it. Ibanez has the $ and engineering to make the best pedal available. Its quiet, has great classic tone and will clean up a messy pedal board.
