This guitar is a keeper, In time I will buy another guitar ( The Ibanez F hole) and my collection will be complete.
Sound
I have played alot of guitars and once I played this guitar through my line 6 amp they were married.
Features
This guitar has all the features I need sometimes less is more, that being said this guitar is just right for me. You have to see and play this guitar to truly appreciate it.
Ease of Use
This guitar is very user friendly. I don't have a problem hitting my switches or knobs when strumming.I can access the contols with ease.
Quality
Mahogany body and maple top what more could I ask for.
Value
In comparison to some "high end" guitars this is a steal.I would match this up against any guitar and come out completely satisfied.

"Excellent guitar with no complaints."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Excellent price, excellent guitar. The only disappointment would be if someone was expecting this to be like the good ol' shredders.
Sound
Excellent rhythm guitar which is what I bought it for. Great range of tones you can get out of it.
Features
Not a lot to it. Pretty simple guitar.
Ease of Use
This is no shredder so if that is what you are looking for, find something else. The neck is thick and wide. I compare just about all guitars to my original 1989 760 series. This SZ is a very different guitar.
Quality
So far, it really appears to be excellent. No complaints at all and I expect it would withstand a lot of abuse if put up against it.
Value
Good luck trying to beat the value of this guitar. Excellent deal.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to use them.
The Wow Factor
Very practical for what I needed. I wanted something with a good fat sound for rhythm tracks and it fits the bill perfectly. I'll pull out the trusty 760 for the heavy leads.

"Awesome price for an excellent guitar."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Sound
The stock pickups are okay since its a Duncan designed pick ups. I'd prefer changing the bridge PU to a JB SD and its sounds heaven.
Features
Since it's only a three way switch I don't see of using a 5 way anyways. The middle one creates a nice strat sound.
Ease of Use
The neck is hella fast and the size is perfect for me. Its very comfortable and roundness of neck is relaxing.
Quality
It's like a Les Paul.
Value
For this price it's perfect. It's like a $1000 guitar for only 649.00. It's a steal for this price.

I'm going to have to wear it out or destroy it before I will part with it. It keeps me satisfied.
Sound
Sounds great any way you wanna play it!
Features
The thru-body stringing gives this axe superior sustain and resonance.
Ease of Use
It sounds good while playing just about anything.
Quality
Visually, everything on this guitar is sound. The finish and inlays are flawless. I did have a scratchy tone knob straight from the music shop.
Value
It's worth more than you'll have to pay for it!
Manufacturer Support
Never called Ibanez, never had a reason.
The Wow Factor
The flamed top and the inlays make this thing an eye-catcher.

"The best guitar Ibanez has put out since the early 80's."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I AM SATISFIED WITH THE METAL SOUND COMING OUT OF THIS GUITAR PERFECTLY AND AM READY TO PLAY LIVE WITH IT.
Sound
This guitar sounds awsome. My Dad owns a Ibanez destroyer II X series, The Phil Collen model, and this sz sounds better than that with it stock pick-ups. This guitar has is made for the rockers and the metal heads.
Features
The only problem I have with the features is the could have use better knobs, instead of those metal ones. All The features on this guitar look better than I could have imagined from the pictures on the internet to seeing it in person. The falme inlays all the way through the neck kills the other sz models. The transparent black, with the maple top is a rare color that looks flawless. The mother of pearl as an outline on the outside of the guitar give it a classic guitar feel
Quality
this product is tough my little sister already droped it and nothing happend to it other than sracthes. the features are very sturdy.
Value
I payed $500.00 in a small guitar shop. This guitar values at $599.00, but this guitar can easily be priced at $1000.00.
Manufacturer Support
This guitar doesn't come with a warranty and all guitars should come with warranties, another is that it didn't even come with an papers.
The Wow Factor
This guitar can't get any better looking with the flames mother pearl, and the tranparent black body, plus the set neck, and the through body stringing.

Like I said, I'll never sell it.
Sound
From blues to thrash to country this is the ultimate guitar, I love mine, the feel when you are playing is like a hot knife through butter.
Features
There isn't one more thing you could ask of this guitar
Quality
One of the most beautiful guitars I've ever owned, I'll never sell or trade in this one.
Value
I would actually expect this guitar to sell for twice what it is selling for. Although I was able to get it for about $80 cheaper than what it is selling for online.
Manufacturer Support
Ibanez makes a good product at an affordable price.
The Wow Factor

"This guitar is one of a kind and for any Ibanez enthusiast!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I have both the blackberry sunburst and trans grey. The entire guitar is absolutely gorgeous and the sound is extremely well balanced. The finish on the guitar makes it easy to slide up and down the neck (also helps not leaving wear and tear) Very lightweight with a medium clenched neck. Keeps a tune extremely well, optimal for detuning. You can adjust the action with ease as well as the intonation. I've owned one since it came out in 2004 and I have played many shows/tours, done a lot of studio sessions and also just jammed and have had no problems (warping, rusting, mechanics, etc..) Even when there's a whether/climate change, it hardly has an effect on it. I personally like the Seymor/Duncan pick ups, but I know a lot of owners install EMG's.If you are an Ibanez fan, I strongly recommend this guitar. Though the SZ series has been discontinued since 2008, the pre-owned one I had bought 2 years ago sounds like the brand new one from 10 years ago. When It comes to my small yet wide range in guitars, this one's my primary, Though I do love my Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe and my Fender Highway 1 American Stratocaster, and use them frequently this is my go to guitar, I am looking to collect all 3 of the SZ720FM models, just need the dark amber sunburst. They need to bring this series and model back. If you already own it, take care of it!

"Joe's tenth guitar is by far his best yet!!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The only reason I am purchasing a different guitar soon, (also an Ibanez), is because I need something with the hollow body sound for the jazz I play as well as the fact that it will be less heavy. I will always play this one even if it does weigh a little more than I'd like. It is worth the sound, versatility, and compliments I get on it's looks!!!
Sound
I owned nine guitars before purchasing this one. I must admit that this was my first Ibanez. That being said, I have to tell everyone how amazed I was at the sound quality as well as the playability of this beautiful instrument. I don't normally go out of my way to brag about anything, but I have told everyone that I know how great this guitar is and how they should look into purchasing one themselves.
Features
I was totally satisfied with my guitar upon purchasing it. I was a little let down that for the $650.00 I paid for it (on sale) that I then had to pay another $100.00 for the case. But it was well worth it. It didn't take me long to see how awesome it was. The holes going straight through the body make for quick and easy string changes and the action on the neck is wicked! The only downfall to this marvelous guitar is that it gets a little heavy during long sets. Otherwise it is incredible!!!
Ease of Use
I love how versatile this guitar is. I play a number of different genres of music from metalcore to jazz, and this Ibanez is capable of complimenting them all. I also appreciate how easy it plays. I can barley press the frets and get a crystal clear sound. I have had problems in the past with other company's guitars vibrating to much when trying to make chords. I pesonally play through a line six (spider two ) amp. The combination of the two create endless possabilities.
Quality
I have only owned this guitar for about six months, but I can tell that it is very sturdy and road worthy. I don't have to travel very far to play, But the case I purchased was made exclusively for this guitar, and keeps it safe from any damage. I have honestly never seen a guitar so well made in my life. I am actually looking into purchasing another Ibanez very similar to this one other than it is a semi-hollow body. I think I have been bitten by the Ibanez bug!
Value
I have to honestly say that I got a great deal. I would have, and actually expected to, pay more than I did for this grade of instrument. I went into the store with the option to buy any guitar that I wanted, regardless of the price, and came out with what I still feel was the best guitar I could have purchased!
Manufacturer Support
I am rating the company at the top based on feedback from freinds and other musicians that have dealt with Ibanez for a long time. I also am so impressed with so many of the products they make that I am sure to be one of their biggest fans for years to come.
The Wow Factor
This is by far the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. I have seen many guitars in my life, but the mother of pearl inlay around the entire body as well as around the head make it stunning. Not to mention the tribal flame inlays on every other fret. I couldn't imagine anything else that could have been added to this masterpeice!

I just can't think of what i would do if one of my guitars got stolen, escpecially this one. But in the case that it did get stolen, i might go out and buy another one.
Sound
the sound on this guitar is one of the most amazing sounds I had ever heard before. I just can't belive how spectacular it is!

Ease of Use
This guitar is very playable. With it's great sound, it is perfect.
Quality
Almost half of the money I had spent on this guitar was just in looks. It's like it was made by the hands of God.
Value
I think that this product was worth the price that it sold for, even if it made me broke for a week.

I have not been with the people that had made this guitar but if I had it would be very helpful.

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I expect this guitar to keep me intersted and satisfied for a LONG time to come!
Sound
Such an even sound, it resonates nicely and is extremely clear.
Features
Great quality components, the mahogony body sounds great, the maple looks amazing...
Quality
The mother of pearl inlays are beautiful, the guitar itself feels extremely solid, and well made. Only cosmetic thing is that the back is nearly black, and tehrefore prone to scratches.
Value
I would expect this to sell for MUCH more than it is!
Manufacturer Support
Guitar companies always have lousy support, but... My experiences with Ibanez haven't exactly been wonderful thus far, although that was with a different guitar
