I will be keeping this one for the rest of my life, I hope they come out with one in a deep wine color or old maple look to it.. I am also ging to buy a 5 string Schecter Elite in the futre just because that bass I can get in the darker red shade..
Sound
Sound is great just have to adjust the knobs to find youre sound, it can be a little difficult to get it to the low you want untill you get used to the controls.. The low "B" is perfect, it rattles the windows in my house.
Features
Wtah can I say, the bridge is perfect the keys are great, its fast playing.. Plus it ahs the locking out-put jack built in,, what a great feature..
Quality
I traded in my Schecter CV-4 to get this and I was a little skeptical at first but now that I have it I see its flawless...
Value
I played a Warwick bass that was twice this amount and it sounded just like mine did so save the cash and bye this..
Manufacturer Support
NOt had to use it but I got the Ibanex dealer took care of me.
The Wow Factor
This bass has me waxing her every night if that tells ya anything!!!! Its a great looking guitar, the long horn was caught my eye its stunning..

"as good as it gets."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i will always keep this guitar and prefer to play on this one over others, but i try new things so i'm bound to get other bass's as well.
Sound
sound is phenomenal, i couldn't be happier with my choice in buying the insturument. The sond is perfectly distorted, no need for a pedal, and the bass/ treble is about as good as it gets. it beats out my erny ball musicman buy alot.
Features
i can't get over the light weight, thin neck, and all around comfort/handling with this bass.
Ease of Use
the design and craft in this bass make it easy to use for beginners and great to play for pros.
Quality
it may not be high end or have a big name brand but for its price .... it doesn't get any better
Value
its worth it so buy it.
Manufacturer Support
no need for support yet.
The Wow Factor
i own a black one and i love the color and shape ... just play one, look at one, or hold one and you'll love it to.

"AMAZING BASS"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I'll play this baby 'til my heart stands still.
Sound
I was very much broke, but wanted to buy a bass. So I ended up buying a second-hand older model Ibanez SR600. And guess what? Under no circumstances will I ever change it to anything! It is amazing! Great sound, classic Soundgear appearance (it was manufactured between 1989 and 1994). New Soundgears tend to have great sound as well, but this particular one simply kicks ass!
Features
It's a no-frills bass, but the output sound is amazing. It has dual pickups, balancer, tone control, and volume control, that's it. That's all I need.
Ease of Use
Handles amazingly! Thin neck, well balanced bass. Tried a Fender Jazz Bass - it's just terrible compared to this one.
Quality
This is a Japanese-made bass. Again, it is around 15 years of age. It looks and works like new.
Value
Original MSRP is around 550 CAD. That's nothing for a product of this quality!
Manufacturer Support
Hard to find information on this model on the official site, but who cares? As long as the product itself is great.
The Wow Factor
It is red color. I think that red is the best color for a bass. This is a classic Ibanez Soundgear, not the new childish Soundgear they make now. Looks and feels sweet!

Because of this product, I think I'll be looking at some of the higher end Ibanez basses someday. (That's a big achievement for such a die hard Fender man like me). I'll probably trade this in when I finally find that perfect bass. But now I'm thinking that it just might be another Ibanez.
Sound
Great tone! Far more versatile than my Fender Jazz. Much cleaner and punchier sound.
Features
Phat control comes in handy as the night goes on and the guitar player syndrome kicks in. It keeps up. The neck is what sold me on this bass. I always liked a thin neck and this is one of the sweetest I've ever played. I sat down with it in a store just to kill some time while waiting to keep an appointment. I walked out with it two hours later. I had no intention of buying a bass that day.
Ease of Use
Easy to use. I'm one of the least technical savvy musicians you'll ever meet and even I can get the sound I want without to much fiddeling. I love that the bass is light. It's much easier on the back and shoulders than my other basses.
Quality
It's a good quality bass for the money. The neck is tempermental though (Don't ever take off all four strings at once, trust me). It's a bit more sensitive to temperature and string changes than my other basses. I've gotten used to adjusting the neck myself, which is something you'll want to do with this bass. It's a trade off, you can't have such a slim beautiful neck without it being a little delicate. It's well worth it though. The neck pups are a little loose and can't be tightened without stripping the screws. Other than that the bass is solid. The finish is still beautiful after five years of heavy use.
Value
Excellant bass for the money. This is a great value.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to use it
The Wow Factor
I'm not a fan of "red" basses but this one (they call it Sangria) does look pretty nice. I'm spoiled by it's weight, ease of playing, and its sound over my Jazz. I hate to say it but I just don't play the Fender that much anymore.

this will be my favorite bass for a long time from now
Sound
Ibanez is known for its heavy metal feel and sound, this bass has that but it can also be used for slower, quieter songs as well. GREAT sound!
Features
all around, its a great bass, there isnt a need for a distortion pedal because... its an ibanez, they have a great sound already, this is a great bass!
Ease of Use
I love the shape and weight, its light and fits right in your lap if your sitting down. if your standing, its light enough to play for a long time before you even begin to feel sore or tired.
Quality
I love ibanez (if you havent found that out already), they are great quality bass' for a great price, you dont need to get a 1000$ bass for an amazing feel.
Value
definately, its a great price for an overall amazing bass.
The Wow Factor
its beautiful, even more amazing once you get it. the paint and shape are perfect. its beautiful while weighing almost nothing.

"AWESOME FOR THE $!!!!!!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I think I'll be using this bass for years to come
Sound
This bass has really good sound for the price. The only thing is that if you change one pickup knob, it will sound way different. But it's no biggie.
Features
The knobs were awesome, they give you a really wide range of sound, you can completely bass it out or give it some treble.
Quality
Great quality, tuners are awesome and the finish is b-e-a-utifl!
Value
Great for the $
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed to, but I bet it's good!
The Wow Factor
Sex appeal...not so much...but sound and quality one word...wow.

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Never actually owned a bass before, but I'd say that I'll probably be happy with it for a long long time...Maybe forever... I was searching out used ones to add to my studio setup and I picked this one up and I knew immediately... I didn't even bother talking the owner down in price cause I knew I would have paid more for a guitar that fit my tastes so well... The feel and action is simply irresistable... If it were lost or stolen..I'd cry...and I'd do what I did this time go on a search for a guitar that stuck out like the white strat on the movie sunset strip...Thats what happended here and I knew right away it was going to be mine...Thats what I'd call love at first sight... You know you're looking at a good product when you can't find a single "bad" review...
Sound
I think it sounds great!
Features
Very versatile sound and completely adjustable to just about any taste (within reason)...
Quality
Seems like a pretty solid bass... I can only hope so since I loved it since i picked it up!
Value
The typical selling price is way cheaper than other basses that I've liked... It's incredible deal for its price range..Buy one!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had any experiences with them and I hope I never do... From my experience it sucks working with all the companies cause you only call when theres a problem and that always sucks...
The Wow Factor
Aesthetically its beautiful...I love it..literally!

Sound
when im playing i want the guitar to sound like a heavy but quick thump i dont know what it is but it hums instead the only way to make it sound the way i want it to is when i hook it up to a very hi tech speaker

Quality
it is very durable
Value
i think it is worth what it is it is a good gutair for what the price is
