I actually sold a USA Peavey HP special, and bought this. This guitar has better action, looks as good. The pups's aren't as good, but for 1/3rd the cost, whose complaining! This guitar suits me well. I can play lots of different styles, and it doesn't let me down. Just a fun guitar to play.
Sound
Pretty impressive output from these active pup's. Not EMG output, but for stock, they're good.
Features
No tone control. Just a pup selector, volume, and a switch, that scoops the mids. It's actually pretty effective.
Ease of Use
It's got a wizard II neck. So you can shred easily, but also puts out great blues tones when wanted. Guitar actually came pretty well set up. Just a little buzz on the G, that was easily remedied.
Quality
All in all, this a a really pretty guitar. The pic's don't do it justice. They're are a couple of niggles with how the binding ends at the neck, but I'm really picky. In fact I didn't notice for almost a week.
Value
They beat a real low offer from another company, gotta love it! On top of that, Ibanez is offering a free case as well(not a gig bag).
Manufacturer Support
Can't comment on this at this time.
The Wow Factor
This is a sexy looking, well constructed instrument. Fast action, well done frets, great inlays, the quilted maple is killer. The pic's don't do it justice.
