For this low a price, you will not find a better sounding bass. Between the P/J configuration and the active tone boost, you really get a wealth of tonal possibilities. The finish is top notch - no different than what you'd find on a bass costing ten-times as much.I bought this as a cheap, lighter alternative to my more expensive 5-string Carvin, to use in smaller gigs where you're a lot closer to the audience (and clumsy drunks). I gotta say I have been consistently pleased with this bass in every way.

This has been a great purchase and I bought it on the four month easy pay plan. I must say I like shopping and paying with the easy pay plan. It is so convenient. This bass is awesome. My boyfriend and I are in a classic rock band and he is the bass player and loves this bass, It is light to hold and easy to play. It comes with nice strings and it really has been so easy. We have no problems at all with this bass and the burst color is very pretty and noticeable on the stage. Thank you so much Zzounds........I love your site......and the easy pay plan.....

I needed a bass to have around the house. One to make my friends play when they come over, and to record ideas with. This thing really sounds great for the money. For the money? Hell, it sounds great period. Great control of the pickup blend, funk to metal to blues to... etc. No noise in the active pickups. Really good looking finish, too. When I tell people what I paid for it they can't believe it.

After Reading the reviews I had High hopes this was going to be a good Product but as my luck is not so much! The good: Great sounding through my Rumble 200, infinite tone possibilities, action was low and smooth, great looking! The bad Electronics have an annoying hum when cranked up, on the third day I picked it up to play and the E and G string had severe buzzing on the first fret and intonation was out on all strings and it was out of tune which I can only attribute to the neck somehow warping. I adjusted the neck as per instructions and set the intonation with the bridge as well as raised the strings, good for 2 days and same thing happened again. Its not like it was out in the freezing cold and wet then brought into a warm area, it was in my music room the whole time. Truly if I still had the box I would have shipped it back. I never had an instrument do this to me !! Avoid this one people!!!
