I think it would be unfair to give this bass any lower than 10 when you consider the price, however it would still in my opinion score about 8 next to any bass even American made Alembics or Spectors, very similar growl to the sound of these classics.

Thin neck,which is not a preference of mine as i have big hands but would be useful for smaller handed people, personally i don't find the neck size a problem. This bass can also achieve a varied number of tones which makes it very versatile. Active electronics, special body structure.

This is in my opinion the best bass when you think of what you get for your money. I think to say to do this bass justice you would have to play it through an ampeg or Gallien rig says it all

Very Very good, solid bass, sound is versatile, the bass is strong. I really like the bass. Only reason is not a 10, is because you can always find something better, but with a much higher price. I would personally give the sound 9.5 !

I've abused my EDB600 for over 8 years now. Best slap bass under $1200. Between the 3 eq knobs and the pickup knob, you can get almost any bass sound you could want.

You do have to replace the internal preamp's 9v battery occassionally.

Ibanez basses hold up forever. However, the nubs for holding the strap and the wiring for the battery are the 2 weakest parts.

Again, this is the best slap bass you can get for less than $1200...and it's $350. If you're still playing a worthless Fender bass or clone, upgrade to 24 frets with the EDB600. Ergodynes feel almost as good as Warwicks.

I think it's worth it. I feel that Ibanez makes pretty decent basses. I used to have one of their old TR basses for years and for a $200 cheapy, it didn't let me down. Sometimes you get lucky and find an instrument that's just right for you no matter the price.

I only wish it had a neck thou body .THIS BASS is one of the litest I have ever played,and it's balanced very well. This is allso one of the best sounding basses for the money ,not only that every time I take it out of it;s case on a gig most people cant take there eye's off of it.

It's a very nice bass, and the active EQ and tone controls help you to craft any sound you could want. It's also amazing for slapping.

The EQ again is useful, and the Luthite body makes for a very lightweight bass.

Very easy, only thing is an occasional battery change, and small handed players may have a bit of trouble.

It's lasted through anything I have, and I don't forsee it doin anything different. All you have to do is carry around an extra 9-volt.

frets near head spred apart alittle too far for poeple with small hand but you can adjust with practice.....very playabe.

well made but alittle static when you adjust the EQ. tuneing pegs stick out alittle and can be a worry for breakage.....like any thing in life you got to tke care of this instrument and it should last.

The sound is so clean and articulate, it makes for a good jazz bass or a metal bass. this is an all around good guitar.

It has a very fast neck and I have fairly long fingers so this helps my playing, almost twice as fast when I play my other bass guitars.I cannot find fault with the sound it produces. It has plenty punch and clarity.All that I am going to do is find and replace the strings. I am playing bass for 48 years.

The Ergo has really made life better for me. It's got great output, amazing tone, & the 3 band eq works phenomenally. I play everything from country to thrash on this thing, and it's NEVER out of place. The fretboard is not too wide, fast as heck, and the neck is stable, and the bass hangs very well. This bass stays in tune between gigs really well- and it's often frozen solid between shows! I get a lot of compliments on the way it looks, as well. It may be a touch heavier than some basses, but I love the lucite, and will never change away from Ibanez now. In the studio, it sees a compressor, and that would be all. The guys in the band call my pearl grey EDB600 "Rock Solid"- nuff said. (OH- and I am a touring live FOH sound engineer- if the sound sucked, I wouldn't have it)

Everything you need, and a better eq than 99% of the axes out there. Wicked pickups, clean, quiet pots, and rock solid bridge. The only thing to look for is the finish on the bridge will wear off (takes a lot of playing first!) , the control knobs have no markings, and don't wear a belt- once scratched, I have no idea how to repair the finish.

It's a well- made bass. Stays in tune, frets wear well, not a lot of adjustments needed in 2 years with it- it went to my setup guy once- my yamaha backup has been there 6 times for adjustment in the same time, perhaps because I hardly pick it up.

I am eminently impressed with the Ergo, and would buy again.

I had a problem with the sweep pot for the mid-eq point- I was told that a real good repair guy could probably fix it, but I should just buy the new circuit board. I had it fixed for a quarter of the price of the new board. BUT Ibanez was very friendly and did really try to help

I only give it a 9 because I wish it came in black. But people do seem to find it attractive- and the unique finish on the guitar never really needs polishing, and doesn't show fingerprints, so that is very cool.

This bass has a very mediocre sound. No punch, growl, or anything of the sort. It is pretty warm, but dull at that. I use it for it's warmth, but theres just not enough tone variation. A lot of the pre-amp configurations are worse than bland.

Pretty good in this department. The nut is not so hot, and the bridge is a little better than garbage. Tuners are really freakin good, though! The preamp seems to be decent, but the pickups are due for upgrades. The neck is very thin, and strong enough for most people. The body is heavy, and very resonant (I dont know if thats good or bad).

Im stuck on this one. COnstruction quality seems to be ok. I have a slight problem with my trussrod not being straight in the neck. I dont know why, and its not really worth it to fix it. The materials they use for the hardware seem to be a little lacking, but overal durable. Ive seen a lot worse.

Price is high. You can do better for the money.
