I came setup great from the factory. No fretwork needed! That's actually hard to say given the price. Now the bad part the pickups are horrible. I was going to change them with a Dimarzio Super distortion and a Liquifire I bought here at ZZounds anyway. With those installed the clean sound out of this is amazing. I like Dimarzios for my hollowbodies. I had my guitar tech install 2 push-pull pots for coil tapping. I would recommend you do this. For any pickups you chose. Unless your a rebel and like the stock pickups. Now the tuning. This guitar stays in tune good. Only if you really divebomb the tremolo constantly it will go out of tune within a song. I felt the bridge could of been heavier. Because the string tension pulls it where it wants too. Once you get the bridge staying put. Intonate and your set. So buy the guitar and your favorite pickups from ZZounds and you'll have a great hollowbody. Buy the case too it fits like a glove and I liked the blue lining. Oh yeah the finish on this is great. And the neck is a little thicker then my other hollowbodys except one but It didn't bother me any. Didn't slow me down or cause finger fatigue Aloha
