So, this is New Guitar Day! I have only had the guitar for about 4 hours, so this is review is from limited experience. So far, I really do love it. It is not ornate, but the finish is even and very nice. The neck is very smooth, and feels good in my hands. I haven't even changed the strings yet, and the sound is very nice. It has nice low-end, without being boomy. On heavy chords and heavy flat picking it is very articulate, and the picked notes just sing out. Fingerstyle sounds good, but this is not the strong suit of the guitar. It has great projection, and volume. To my hands and my ears, it sounds and feels better than anything else in its price range that I have played.I have plugged it in, and it seems to have a sound that represents its acoustic tone. I cranked it through a PA, and there was no feedback, even when directly in front of a stage monitor.

I love classic rock, classic country, bluegrass, and even som 80's rock and vintage punk.

"amazing guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Having had experience with high end guitars, I was nervous dealing with an instrument manufactured in China. Nothing to worry about here, the guitar arrived on schedule, no shipping issues, and I was amazed at the stunning beauty as I opened the case. Pros: The feel is high end, the sound is amazing, the craftsmanship is flawless. Plugged in you have volume and tone controls, no bells and whistles but excellent quality. Con: After careful inspection I found one dead note at the 9th fret, 1st string. The tenth fret needs to be tapped in to the fretboard at that edge - not an issue for me. Overall a great experience and a guitar that is simple yet solid and sounds awesome. Definitely recommended.

I had never had any experience with Guild guitars, but something about this model inspired me to take a chance. I am so absolutely stoked that I did! The incredibly warm and rich sound from this model rivals any other guitar I have seen in this price range. The combination of a sitka spruce top and the Indian Rosewood back and sides create a beautiful looking guitar that is stunning at first glance. It is every bit as good as the Martins and Taylors that get so much fanfare. The only thing drawback I might have is that the Fishman electronics are not quite what I was hoping for. However, the overall quality in the craftsmanship of this guitar well outweigh any technical electronic deficiencies. I am 100% confident taking this guitar into the studio or on the stage. I am so happy that I decided to take a chance, and I will be playing this guitar for years to come.
