"Awesome Pedal!"

I've read other reviews of this product on this and other websites, mostly unfavorable due to how the cable is to be set up. First let me state, you've gotta be smarter than the equipment you're using. This pedal is AWESOME! It attaches solidly and works great! I even managed to attach it to a guitar stand and use an acoustic guitar as a percussive instrument. The only drawback (and easily fixable) is that the foot pedal does tend to slide away from you… So some extra spiked velcro or a small weight bag would be nice to keep the pedal from wandering… But that is hardly a design flaw, just something you've got to deal with since it isn't attached to a big ol' bass drum. The Gibraltar website has an excellent video showing how to set up and use the Cajon Pedal. Watch this video while the pedal is being shipped to you and when it arrives, voila! You'll be beating the heck out of your Cajon in no time! If you're a solo guitarist working small venues and need some percussion, a Cajon and this little baby will hook you up right!

"Great Idea - Poor Quality"

I have had this pedal for a few months now and while the idea is excellent the quality of this product is very poor. The cable mechanism binds too much due to short curves in the cable. It is very time consuming and difficult to setup with all the different adjustments and once you do have it adjusted it won't stay in adjustment. For me this pedal is not yet ready for prime time.

I have been playing proffesionally for over 45 years.

Rock, Country and everything in between.
