Gibson 2017 Exclusive SG Fusion Electric Guitar (with Gig Bag)

An incredible value, the SG Fusion offers American-made style and tone with a stunning price. The Double-Slug pickups create a fat tone with plenty of bite.

Overall great guitar, pickups sound awesome, finish is the most lacking feature of the guitar, solid feeling hardware though, and neck is pretty good.
Sound
Its a awesome basic guitar tone wise. One volume, one tone, and a 3 way switch. Gets the job done well. Pickups sound great, nice and clean when you want it and they break up nicely of thats what you want too. Plenty of output.
Features
Features on this guitar are real basic. Tone and volume, 3 way switch. Bridge is nice and feels solid to me. Tuners seem to be able to hold tune no problem whatsoever.
Ease of Use
Out of the box i was not impressed by the setup, the bridge was down as low as possible. The action was pretty high, litle tough to play. Nut wasnt cut deep enough. That being said, once i lowered the nut a bit, and tightened the truss rod about a 6th of a turn, guitar was loads better.
Quality
Guitar seems to be mechanically sound, solid bridge and tuners. Electronics sound great, and the pots feel nice and solid. Neck seems to be well built, frets are level ect. The only issue i see is with the angle of the neck to the body, id like to get the action lower but cant get it any further down. The bridge is completely bottomed out and was when it arrived.
Value
IMHO i think there are epiphones that are the same price of basically the same quality. That being said, it is completely worth the price you pay for it. I mean come on, a USA made gibson for $600. Cant top that.
Manufacturer Support
Havent had to deal with them, but in sure its fine.
The Wow Factor
Again a little lacking here. The finish is not impressive. But i do not see any flaws in the finish per say, just coulda been done better. The satin neck is great to play on.

I have just received the guitar today and figured I'd put out a review since there aren't very many out there. I am impressed at the quality for the price and after reading reviews that I could find (mostly bad), have to disagree with them. This guitar is really a great deal, the only flaws I have found are in the finish. That being the paint isn't smooth (no wood filler) with some minor orange peel (can be buffed out or wet sanded). There is also some minor scratches in the pick guard, you really have to look for it though. I played for a few hours after tuning it up, then got out the gauges and ruler. The action is just about spot on, I might can go a little lower. The neck is set perfectly and the intonation is just a hair off. Mine was labeled as 9/26/16, so I figure I'll change strings (has 10's I play 9's) then recheck and adjust. This is (to me normal) as I had to adjust my American Strat when bought new, things change from set up to arrival and all that happens in between. I actually really like the finish not having filler and since it is a nitro finish, it should wear well and age nicely. It's extremely light and comfortable. The neck is smooth and much nicer than the 90's Epi I had. This is not a 1000 plus Gibson by any means but for 429 and getting a gig bag, it's well worth the price for an American made guitar. I know a lot of purists may not accept this one but I for one love it and feel I got a great value for the money.
Sound
The sound isn't bad, I like active pups and plan on putting in some EMG 81/60, that's the main reason I got this over an Epi as it has the loaded pick guard, which should make the install faster and easier. For jazz or classic rock the pups will do but many will not like them for really heavy stuff I'm sure.
Features
It's simple and comfortable.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use and restring. I have already tried restring without removing/detuning all strings and it can be done (one of the complaint's I saw in questions about the wrap around bridge).
Quality
Great value and quality with one of the best warranties, helps too I live about an hour out from Nashville.
Value
Well worth the price. I also like the fact that they include the QC booklet and pic, just like on the higher end models. They don't short change you like other brands do when buying bottom tier models.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't need and have no worries if I do.
The Wow Factor
It has a major wow factor, just looks totally different in person than from photos. I was afraid I wouldn't like the red (green was sold out) but I really enjoy it. The photos online make it look cheap color/ fit and finish, however in person it does look more expensive if that makes sense.
