For many players, buying a Baritone guitar can be a challenge. Generally speaking, there are very few production models to choose from and that may be why so many dudes have like 10+ guitars in the traditional 243/4 25.5 scale. I have been keeping my eye out for a baritone for years and the SG model pretty much nailed it for me. This thing is so fun to play. I dig the oversized body and beefy neck. The sound is huge! King kong huge. And you can get all kinds of sounds from single coil spank, rich mid range blend, or smooth jazz creamy stuff. The pickups are powerful with really hot bridge. The wiring is neat and clean, whoever soldered the circuits in mine did an outstanding job, virtually no noise. I like to drop down low, open tuning, weird alternate tunings, slack key tunings, etc... so far this thing handles everything. its a solid guitar. I wont even start talking about high gain, distortion stuff.....all I can say is that it sounds like the apocalypse arrived in my jam room! setup was close to perf and the case is plush in side and classic heavy duty outside. Dude this baritone sg kills it and its gonna be gone soon so I wasn't gonna miss out. ZZsounds practically dropped the guitar off to my doorstep hours after i bought it. I gotta give this company credit because they don't b.s. you, they have a smooth site and come across like they take pride in making customers happy with killer deals and service. I'll be back for sure. For now I'm loving on this SG! sic!

I wanted a baritone guitar for some time to be able to play along with some favorite bands that play tune their guitars to drop Db, drop C, drop B. I saw this guitar and had to get it. I already have a normal sized Gibson SG and am a big fan of it.This guitar sounds really great to me, I love how it sounds. It's a little heavier than my standard SG, which is OK, but takes some getting used to when playing standing up. This is due to the scale of the guitar being made bigger due to the longer neck.I feel like the stock machine heads are slightly loose- the guitar gets a little out of tune quite often, more than my other guitars. I plan on replacing these.

The 27 inch scale is insane, longest scale instrument I own, even bigger than my other baritones. This guitar feels, and plays amazing. It also sounds either beautiful or has tons of snarls thanks to the awesome electronic options. Out of the box the action is amazing. I've people rag on Gibson - this is my first - but I love it. It's my new favorite guitar.

This guitar arrived in an excellent Gibson case, and upon opening - a stunning Alpine white SG with tasteful black inlay and headstock binding. WOW! it is much larger than a standard, yet not over weight. I am a very large guitarist - and it just feels so comfortable, the neck width and thickness are perfect. Now the sound: Fender Stereo Chorus mid boost and chorus on, crunch channel master on 3 gain on 8. Neck pickup - full but not over powering, big tone. Neck PUP is no puppy IT IS POWERFUL!!! it comes alive and rocks my world - never in my 30 playing years have I heard anything close to this. Buy it if you dare. Hide the wife and kids.

Truth be told, I've never been a big fan of SG's....much more of an LP guy over the years, but I couldn't resist getting into the baritone realm when I saw this beauty. WOW! Beautiful, tone (yeah, the bridge pickup is hot as hell!) that's equalled by stellar craftsmanship and inspiring playability. Do yourself a favor and check it out before they're sold out!! :)
