Ten months ago I bought a Gibson J-15 because I really could not decide between it and the J-45. Absolutely loved the sound of the J-15. Great kids and uppers with adequate bottom end. I loved the J-15 so much I became a Gibson convert after many Martins. Enter the J-45. Bought it 3 months ago and was even more impressed.
Sound
This Baby just booms. Fantastic bottom end with equally resort middle and upper.
Features
When you hold this one in your hand, you know you had better hang on. You are in for one helluva musical ride. It improves your playing due to the fact you cannot put it down.
Ease of Use
The playability of the J-45 is unmatched by any guitars I have ever played, including some way upper-end Martins. The setup was absolutely perfect.
Quality
When you hold this guitar in your hand you know you have hold of one first quality musical instrument. The feel and appearance is unlike any guitar I have ever owned. ( I would probably say the same about the J-15 also)
Value
This product is well worth zZounds selling price and then some. Oh, a word about zZounds. You will never find a better company to deal with, from order to delivery. Fine bunch of folks.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with the manufacturer and don't anticipate having to.
The Wow Factor
Recently went on vacation from Oregon to Michigan. Jammed with him and his friends and they could not keep their hands off the Gibsons. I was lucky to get home with my J-45. My Son saw fit to relieve me of my J-15.

I first played a J45 in 1967 at a local music store; it has been my dream since then to own one. For once, the reality is just as good as the dream.
Sound
The first thing that struck me was the fullness of the sound. There was nice bass, but it didn't sound bottom-heavy. Then I plugged it in and found it was easy to dial in a very natural sound when electrified. It is nice to have great tone plugged or unplugged.
Features
I love that the electronics are concealed, giving this a traditional look while providing the ease of plugging in to play.
Ease of Use
The action on this guitar is perfect. It only took a few minutes to learn the volume and tone controls, and I was able to quickly dial in the sound on the PA once it was plugged in.
Quality
I was very pleased with how well-made and substantial this guitar seems to be. I hope to get a lot of use of this guitar in the coming years.
Value
I feel that the quality of the build and the sound make this guitar well worth the cost.
