Wow- I am thrilled with this axe! Every aspect is superb, from looks to playability to sound. I parted with an original '66 335/12 in favor of this one; it was a difficult decision, but I'm glad I did. My biggest complaint with the original was the lack of jangle, which is an important component of an electric 12. This has been remedied beautifully by the addition of coil taps. I am a loyal Gibson guy- they're all I play. And this is as good as it gets.

it came out of the case raw. no set up no tune. which is actually a good thing. these tend to hang out in warehouses for a while so slack tension is a good idea. that being said, the first negative is no truss rod tool. when you buy this guitar the truss rod is slack. so your action is high. i got ahold of the black gibson truss rod tool, the only one that will fit the carved access hole. i was able to bring this guitar into its comfort zone. the bridge cant be lowered to the height that i was able to get the neck. this tells me the guys at gibson didnt know what they have here. now it plays great... i could even lower the action more if gibson hadn't restricted me with the bridge ... fit and finish is not what it should be at all. the was an issue with the head stock inlay.. i fixed it myself but at $2600 i should not have to do that.. but damn the sound.. only gibsons sound like this. i have many and the sound can't be matched.

What can say it's a perfect guitar sound is superb fingering is excellent the neck is a tad wider then a standard 335 witch makes for clean notes up and down the neck and the push pull knobs r fun to play with this GUITAR has no short comings I also have a 12 string Ric the Gibson is now my go to guitar.
