A very well constructed "classic" with tons of vintage vibe and modern appointments. I simply love this bass! It plays wonderfully, the fit and finish are top shelf, the wood is superb, and hardware is heavy duty. Overall an extremely roadworthy bass that is a fantastic alternative to a "traditional" (i.e. "modern") Precision Bass.
Sound
The bass sounds like a P-Bass of course, but much warmer than I expected. It has a very well rounded and warm tone with a nice bottom end and spanky highs. I expected it to be more mid-heavy, honky, but happily it was not. The vintage pickups sound great with absolutely no need for replacement...ever.
Features
It's a P-Bass, simplicity IS it's feature. Time tested, industry standard Precision Bass, 1 volume, 1 tone, great, heavy duty stamped tuners, and a Bad Ass II bridge. Not sure what else you could ask for in a work horse bass. Everything is quality on this bass FAR exceeding it's price point.
Ease of Use
Pick it up, sling a strap on it, open up the pots and play it...loudly. Can't get any easier than that. It's most difficult use feature is taking it off and putting it down.
Quality
The construction quality and materials are worthy of a much higher price. I know that isn't something popular to say LOL, but rest assured, this bass is well worth every penny and will last a lifetime. The fretwork, the finish, the hardware and electronics are all top shelf of MIA quality. I have over a dozen Fender basses and this easily rivals any of my MIAs, CIJs, and exceeds a couple of my MIMs. The wood grain on the body and neck are beautiful. Not a satin neck finish fan, but it is well done, just a personal thing.
Value
Far and away one of the best values in a P-Bass out there. With the pickups and tuners and bridge at the price, it's great, but the construction quality and great wood put it over the top! And if that isn't enough zZounds Pay as you Play is the clincher.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it...they are Fender basses...sheesh.
The Wow Factor
A beautiful, simple yet elegant design. The vintage influences and features make it an instant classic. I have a Cabronita P-Bass and a '51 CV P-Bass, and have really been digging the slab bodies/thick "C" profile necks as of late, just dead sexxxy basses. Not a fan of the 1-ply guard, but that is easily fixed and the only thing getting touched on this bass! Some minor setup on my part, although delivered at factory spec, I am just more finicky and OCD that I ought be, and it plays SO smooth and low, buzz free, end to end. High WOW factor!

I extremely satisfied! I have a vintage Univox fretless, active Ibanez and the Dirnt. Adding the Dirnt to my collection has me set. I would get another if anything happens to this one.
Sound
This bass "cooks!!" I love the 51 pickup which provides excellent tone to rock and r&b music selection. Quality instrument cables are a must to aviod some buzz from the pickup. I enjoy my Ibanez active bass however, the construction and sound of this bass seperates from the others. Playing through my 2x10 SWR with a 115 ampeg extension lays out a strong clear sound. Make sure you get the 3.5 guitar strap for the extra weight.
Ease of Use
You will need to use the eq on your amp to change tones. This is expected with a passive bass.
Quality
The construction and finish is excellent. It came out-of-the-box ready to play. No adjustments were needed.
Value
I wih it was cheaper...but ya "get what you pay for."
Manufacturer Support
No need to contact Fender to this point.
The Wow Factor
The Mike Dirnt gets everyone's attention. My muscian friends appreciate the look and sound. Others just like the look. I got the Sunburst.

"The best bass for a cheap bass"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If you read above you can see im pretty satisfied with this bass and i will definately get a few more to my collection in the other colours. this bass blows the american p-bass out of the water by a long shot This should be noted as one of the best. I wouldnt mind to have a model with 22 frets but apart form that it is awesome. cya
Sound
This bass is the bomb. The pick-ups are awesome and are sooo loud. When i plug into my Fender 810 bass amp You can hear the walls starting to crack and the neighbours running down the street.
Features
OF course its features are cool. You have all those vintage features from the old 51' basses with a modern badass bass bridge I htink min eis special because i was able to get it in artic white. Maybe its a new colour because when i got it from the music store i looked up its product number and it was brand new. And yes i do have a black scratch plate and a black star sticker on the bass.
Ease of Use
This product is very easy to use. Like every other p-bass except for those deluxes it has a volume and a tone knob. But if your amplifier has lots of EQ's then you can make any sound in the world.
Quality
This bass has such good quality. You can tell by how a bass feels whether it could beak or if u drpped it off a building it wuldnt even dent. That is this bass. I also own a Flea bass 4 string in flake blue and i only use that for certain songs in my band when i need to tune down.
Value
For the money it is definatly worth it. I rather use the dirnt than my flea which has about a 3000 dollar difference. I think id get another mike dirnt You can never have too many basses
Manufacturer Support
Like every one says. Its a fender they dont get better than that. And there easy to reach
