"Great Acoustic Bass"

Inexpensive? I guess so. I got it after it was discontinued. But don't get me wrong. I don't know why they discontinued it. Fender has a habit of doing this with acoustic bass guitars. This one sounds great, and plays great. Feels right when I play it. The shape of the neck transposes easily to a six sting acoustic guitar, so it's comfortable to just switch from on to the other without a lot of adjustment. As I said, it was inexpensive, but far from cheap. I understand they replaced this with another model. I'd check it out if I were you and you are looking for an acoustic bass. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. Pay plans at Zzounds are always a plus too. I've been buying from them for quite some time. If there is a problem of any kind, they respond quickly and resolve without question. Their service is pretty legendary in my book.

This bass is of great quality. Love the way it plays and sounds acoustically and plugged in. zZounds, as always shipped it quickly, it came packed very well, and covered me with the pay to play plan. After I discovered zZounds.com, I've never gone back to any other musical instrument shop or distributor.

Musical Background:

I've been playing bass for 20 years. I play in my own band locally, write the music, play bass and do vocals.

Musical Style:

I play a mix of psychedelic rock/ prog rock /punk/metal/doom

"I Played it at the Guitar Shop"

I actually really liked this guitar the few times I played it. I do a lot of different stuff with bass guitar -- finger pickin' Dylan songs, lead guitar, open string slide, playing with a capo, stuff that ain't normal -- and the CB 100CE does most of it unplugged decently. The action is too low down by the nut on the D and G strings to play with a slide without substantial fret buzz in 1\2 and 1st position; but, most AE bass guitars suffer from this syndrom. I have not played this bass through an amplifier. In general, I am not a fan of anything Fishman does, as far as bass pickups are concerned for a double bass, I cannot vouch for their acoustic bass guitar stuff. The local shop that had a CB 100 CE sold it before I could play it through my amp, so I can't tell the people about it's electric qualities, only it's acoustic sounds and it's general build.

Musical Background:

Started learning music at the age of ten, and went on to play brass and strings in Jr. and Sr. High schools, college and pro.
