Fender FSR American Telecaster Rustic Ash Electric Guitar (with Case), Maple Fingerboard

With a rich, rust-colored aluminum pickguard setting off the ash body's natural wood grain, this American Tele has a rustic look to match its twangy sound.

This special run is a beautiful Telecaster, it looks great, both old school and modern at the same time, the neck is perfect, fast, easy to play. I had my doubts about the contoured body at first, but it is actual more comfortable and gives me a better playing position. The Strat style bridge saddles are noisy, but the rattle doesn't seem to translate to the pickup, so not a problem. The build quality is excellent, the fretboard is well finished the neck joint well seated the controls clean and tight. The Texas Twisted Tele pickups are different from standard Tele pickups, but have enough twang to give the Tele sound, but enough brightness to cross-over into Strat territory in a good way. All round excellent guitar.
