Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HH Electric Guitar (Rosewood)

This Strat has been given a sonic lift with high-gain humbucking pickups. It comes in a glossy Black, Candy Apple Red, or Sonic Blue finish.

Great guitar, super value from Fender. The neck is sweet and fit and finish is A1. I've owned many US and Mexican guitars over my life and currently prefer the Mexican Fenders as it's truer to vintage Fenders than the US. The US Fenders are great but with new refinements added almost yearly they've drifted away from the feel of the fenders I remember in my youth. Now as far as this guitar even though it has humbuckers the coil split (my favorite position) does give a somewhat traditional tele sound which is cool on a strat. One drawback is the pickups, unless your a metal guy they're too hot and muddy. That said it's a keeper for me as I ordered some PAF's for it to suit my style of playing when I want the humbucker or Les Paul sound, Great choice of colors and pick guard combinations too, Even with $130 for two DiMarzio PAFs this axe still comes in as great bang for the buck,

I would definately replace it.
Sound
This guitar has a great sound, it's rich and clear, I've only ran it through a Marshall practice amp, it made me smile......
Features
Whammy bar is great, There is one thing I do not like about this guitar..... it's the mint green pickguard, why a mint green pickguard..... I special ordered a white metallic flake one. It stays in tune easy to play. Very versatile.
Ease of Use
I got some great sound from it with a little Marshall practice amp. It will crunch if it you want it to.
Quality
Seems well made, rosewood fretboard is beautiful.
Value
Yes
Manufacturer Support
Called to ask them about a replacement pickguard in white, they were helpful.
The Wow Factor
The sonic blue is gorgeous, I purchased the white leather studded guitar strap from this same website. Its in a Tantrum Black coffin case, people are surprised when they see a baby blue guitar in there.
