I have been knocking around a plan to purchase a custom shop Stratocaster. I have owned many Stratocasters over the years but, never a 60's era which, in my opinion is the Holy Grail of Strats. Of course my decision to purchase a urethane, 60's spec'd Strat was made simple with this model. I save a boatload of money and knowing the MIM quality I couldn't be happier. I currently own a Deluxe Stratocaster, AAA Top Les Paul standard, Derek Trucks SG, and a custom built Tele by the "G" man . I honestly have to say this guitar was an instant bond with me. Save yourself some money and buy this!
Sound
Noisy, to be expected. It's a 60's era Strat. I ran it through a couple of different amps and get the tones I expected. I may put a set of Klien pickups in. And still save a thousand bucks.
Features
Typical of the model
Quality
The quality is better than in the 60's. Consistent and truly a beautiful finish
Value
Some may argue MIM for $900! I feel it is worth all of that.
The Wow Factor
After a little set up and string change. I was Wowed. I can't stop playing it
