Wow have just begun to play this bad boy. Was shipped on time! Packaged great! Unpacked and found myself some 4 hours later playing with the amps sounds very, very impressed and happy. The only thing I could possibly say negative would be the way the casters plug into the bottom of the cabinet. They need a retainer ring, so when you push the caster in they stay into the cabinet. I had 2 that we're a little loose, moved them around in positions with the others until finding somewhat of a snug fit. They will only loosen with time thou. Not a big deal, maybe for next design Eddie have casters with retainers and bigger wheels like 3". Also adding a mp3 port would be pure esctacy! Thx zZsounds for making the deal go through fast & safe shipping using gr8 shippers "Fedex" Love this amp Eddie!! Cya on stage!! Cheers

"Unbelievable Tube Sound"

I purchased this amp and signed up for the 12 month payment plan. It took 1 day to process the credit. Amp shipped out next day, and I received the amp 1 day after they shipped it. Awesome fast free shipping.OK the amp. I still can't believe how LOUD this amp is. I have a 100 watt solid state amp, and this 50 watt amp blows it away. Everything worked right out of the box. The 2nd and 3rd channels are just incredible. Warm distortion and lots of sustain. The 1st channel is just a little bit more difficult to get a clean sound and have the shared 2nd channel not be so much louder than the clean channel. I'm not worried about that at all. This amp is rock solid and comes with wheels. It is very heavy, about 84 lbs... But will last a very long time. I purchased the Black one and it looks awesome. Can't wait until I go to rehearsal so I can turn it this amp up and see what it can do. The foot switch is great as well. Very easy to change channels and turn on/off the reverb. I think the reverb sounds good. Some people don't like it, but I only use a small amount of reverb, so it sounds ok to me. I have guitars that have active pickups and guitars with passive pickups. With the passive pickups, (only one I've tried so far)(Ibanez RG920QM) sustain is so easy to get and so are the harmonics. I just turn my guitar towards the amp and the harmonic will last as long as I let it ring. I have always used solid state amps because I used to go on the road a lot and they never broke down. I'm not on the road playing anymore, and just play gigs close to where I live. So as long as I have a spare set of tubes, nothing to worry about. There is really nothing about this amp I don’t like. (except for the weight) If you are looking for an amp that can get that warm distortion sound all the way up to that killer distortion without having to use pedals to achieve that sound, than this is the amp for you.

I must say this amp is probably the best combo I've played through in a long time. I got the ivory combo which looks absolutely awesome. Quality on this amp is solid, very we'll built. Dialing in any tone is easy. Tones anywhere from clean, blues, rock, and metal. Probably my favorite feature is the capability of using 1watt to 50 watts, perfect for bedroom volumes and you do not lose any tone whatsoever. This is a fairly big combo. Comes with castors and recessed side handles which is a plus. Also at 50 watts this amp is LOUD!!! Once again, amp is a little on the pricy side but with zZounds installment payments plans it's a no brainer!!

One of the best sounding distortions I've ever heard. This amp can handle some really bass-heavy tones without getting muddy (and the resonance knob also helps to control that). Gain on channel 3 never really goes above 4 for me. Gain for daaaaaaaaays!!! I love the channel EQ controls, the presence and resonance knobs, the channel footswitch (which also turns the reverb on/off), the 1-50 watt power attenuator, the reverb, and the effects loop. This amp gets an A++ for features and is a very useable all-purpose combo amp (for gigging, recording, rehearsing, bedroom jamming, etc.). Some people don't like the fact that channel one and two share EQs, but I don't mind it. I've read in other reviews that there's a volume jump between channels one and two, but it's not very noticeable to me. It's pretty heavy, but the handles are sturdy and make it easier to carry, and the wheels/casters make it much easier to move around. It's also important to use high quality cables with this amp. I used to get a little hiss on channel 3, but this was fixed when I switched to professional-grade cables. I rated this amp a 4.5 for sound because the clean channel is more of a crunch clean than a pristine one. It sounds great! But a perfect amp would be able to get you both sounds. You can get clean cleans by rolling off the volume a bit and playing softly, but you'll have to turn to pedals or another amp to get cleaner cleans (but then again, this amp was designed for a different style of music

I was really torn between buying a Marshall JVM combo and the EVH combo. I already have a JCM 800 head and 4x12 cabinet. I bought the EVH combo and man am I glad I did. It sounds great! It kills the Marshall in every way. From the clean channel to both overdrive channels it is amazing. I also bought the EVH 2x12 cabinet so I have an EVH half stack. It just sizzles. The power attenuation is great too from 1 watt to 50 watts the amp just shines. Thanks Zzounds.

I am blown away by this amp. The wattage control is so nice... go from quiet practice amp to on stage screamer effortlessly. The amp is great for country to blistering lead solos. I can't find fault anywhere with this thing! It's a little bulky, but it's a fantastic bride between a 2x12 solid state amp and a half stack with a 4x12 cabinet, especially with the power this amp delivers. The foot pedal is awesome, just simple & straight forward. zZounds' ratings only go to 5, but I'd give "Ease of Use", "Sound",and "Wow Factor" a 10 all day long. My Marshall just became my backup amp, I'm gigging with this bad boy!

I really wish someone in town would have had this amp where I could play it. All the reps at various places said it would do what I wanted it to do. So I ordered one, and sadly the first one was stolen off my porch, but zZounds was awesome in getting me a replacement.. but now on to the review. I just unboxed this monster and dragged it downstairs into my studio and plugged her in. The first test I had to do was to see if the reps were correct in telling me the cleans in channel one would stay clean if you change the control knobs for channel two. Big NO on that one. I am one who actually uses all 3 channels and needs at least one to actually be clean. There is no way to separate the settings for channels one and two since they share the same controls. Channel 2 has great crunch and channel 3 is awsome! But I need a clean channel which I cant get while having the gain up for channel two. Other than that it is a really nice amp, but won't fit my needs.

Really poor overdriven clean channel. Also the 2nd channel steps all over the clean channel so it certainly cant be used in a live performance. The 3rd channel is amazing though. Tons of head room for gain.
