Currently this site is asking me to rate its sound. Seeing as how it's a guitar case...I guess it sounds good to me!

For the Coffin Enthusiasts, this is a newer made Coffin so it bears slight differences from some of the original universal cases released. 5 Latches (with one lockable) - Most of the first coffins featured 4 latches, 3 on the 'front' opening side and one on the back 'top left' coffin corner. This has an extra latch on the long part of the opening side which does bear extra support [I purchased an acoustic Coffin Case in which someone ripped out the middle pocket compartment. When you carry the case that middle portion tends to side apart. An extra latch would help even if there was no middle compartment helping to keep a mid-portion of the case structurally sound]Storage Compartment - Located under the neck rest section. It's spacious, I put the original guitar paperwork, my whammy bar, strap, tuner and short cable in there and I still feel like I could put something else in there if I needed to.Black Velvet interior with crush pattern swivels - Unlike some of the earlier models that had the diamond tuck interior this has a velvet with a gothic-esque pattern that's part of the fabric print. Subtle but very nice.

Super easy to use like any other case. The shape doesn't offer any hindrances as far as transporting or placing your guitar in or taking it out. If anything it's slightly more compact than other cases with the coffin shape taking out a lot of 'dead space' around the neck area.

Compared to my limited edition Universal White Coffin (which I'm pretty sure was a first run model) Coffin Case only got better at what they were doing.Compared to my original this case is slightly 'shorter' if you will, only by an inch or so, more compact for your guitars.The plastic-leather like finish on my original case was glued on the corners when finished. Over time through all the carrying and transport the glue lost its stick and the pieces peeled apart on the bottom corners exposing the wood. This Bela Lugosi case has actually been stitched along those corners. Though it is new I feel imagine that they fixed that problem with newer cases. Simply looking at the stitching gives me confidence.Because of its upholstery style finish (material wrapped around wood) you may get a couple scratches and dings down the road but if it's like my other it'll mostly be on the corners. Don't expect everything to come off, it's wrapped well.The interior is gorgeous. I find myself looking at my guitar with the case open sometimes just admiring how nice it looks and how well it was put together. I can start to see the strings and guitar corners begin to make their signature groove marks, becoming one with the case if you will.

I bought this for just under a hundred dollars with free shipping (thank you zzsounds! It's refreshing -if not a modern standard- when free shipping is offered for gear we're purchasing past the $50 range). A standard rectangle hard-shell guitar case runs at about $60 these days. You're already spending 30 to 40 bucks more if you're investing in a Coffin. Seeing as how Coffin Case doesn't seem to be producing as many products as they once were and they're slightly harder to find (but not impossible) around a hundred is the right price you should pay for one.

This case goes to 11. It never seems to stop turning heads when you're walking along carrying a coffin in your hands. People stare and it's always a conversation starter. The fact that this particular one bears the face of one of the greatest Horror icons of our times is another factor that puts it in a dark league of its own.I was wowed and loved it when I saw it online...it's so much eerier and better in person.
