"READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY ANY LESPAUL"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I would definately replace it if it were lost or stolen... i would want to upgrade it with gibson humbuckers so that it sounds like a true lespaul!! the best thing i like about this guitar is the classic les paul shape n the finish. Nothing i hate about it.
Sound
Classic vintage sound. Not so good for modern metal though... for that u might head to a bc rich store or somethin... the humbuckers arnt that gud as compared to the gibsons... but u get what u pay for. wish the humbees had more sustain and were more powerful...
Features
wish there was a tremolo bar!!!!! then it could give the craziest sounds while looking cool! standard grover machine heads with a tune o matic bridge. also it has 2 volume n 2 tone knobs. with a treble/rhythm switch.
Ease of Use
very easy to use. just plug in n play. 2 volume knobs n 2 tone knobs give a wide array of sounds. highly expressive. action is great and can be adjusted accordingy...
Quality
This is solid!!! I dont think it will even have a scratch if i bang it on the floor like jimi hendrix use to do...yes,,,its that solid,, heavier than usual guitars but built very solid. finish is great n the paint job is excellent. no loose parts or knobs or anything.
Value
Great for the price!!!! I would even pay double for it!!!! awesome guitar is the high end gibsons are a little too away from the reach of your pocket.
Manufacturer Support
Havnt had any problem with this axe so far... so cant tell. neither had any experiences with the epiphone guys.
The Wow Factor
It looks hot.Sexy piece this one. I have a heritage cherry sunburst colour which i love.

"Just look at the amount of reviews......this is the best deal in the history of guitars....great day to be a guitarist."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Nothing comes close.....ive done alot of research,....to find that mid range hidden gem.....last year I picked up an Ibanez rg370dx for the metal side of mid range....and was impressed,..but it still had a light feel to it,.....you know,....it plays nice,...but,...just slightly on the toy side.... Then I picked this up,....and immediately,....you feel how real this guitar is.....and the cool thing is....you can actually hear that quality from the woods. Its a Les Paul....if youve ever wondered,....then for 430 bucks.....this is at least worthy of a spot in your arsenal....and like I said earlier,....it will fastly climb to the front of that line......even if youre amongst the crowd that wears big blinders and covers their ears when it comes to Epi.......this thing will single handedly change your mind.
Sound
alnico classics in this...with mahogony make this baby sing. Dont change everything out right away....its 430 bucks and its a very very nice sounding instrument at that price. The bridge pickup is hot,...great for hard rock,....and the neck is warm as bluesy....these are not garbage pickups,...they are alnico mag wax dipped and surprisingly effective. Save your three hundred bucks your buddies told you to drop into the pups,.....play these a few months,...and you wont want to take them out at all.
Features
Features....um....no cup holders or anything,....has grover tuners,....tone and volume for each pickup.....pickup toggle.... The best feature is the "Les Paul" on the head stock.....lets you know its simply the best.
Ease of Use
Plug it in,....turn it all the way up on that bridge pickup,....tone to the max.....and take in the ear candy
Quality
Ridiculous just how overlooked these guitars are... Dont assume because it says Epiphone that its a toy,....this is a professional quality solid instrument,...at about one quarter its bigger brothers price. Sure Gibson has pickups that are slightly hotter,...and electronics that allow for slightly more range on your tone,....but for 1500 bucks more??...Nope,....leave it alone,....youll find in no time,..youre pulling it out, instead of all your other fancy gear,...not to conserve the fancy gear,...but because this is a better guitar. Top to bottom,....not one flaw.
Value
it pokes its bigger brother Gibsons Standard square in the chest....and leave you tons of cash to spare.....whats a Gibson standard now??Like 2200 bucks??.....this is 430?? You can buy five of these....for the price of the Gibson....and if you covered the head stocks on both and played them,...youd have a hard time figuring out which was which......no joke,.....youd have to be a very seasoned pro to be able to tell the slight differences,.....and if youre a seasoned pro,.....well you should be able to make this work just fine anyway,.....so yea......this is a steal.
Manufacturer Support
Havent had to use them,...and have absolutely no intention of this baby going on any trips without me,...so I dont think ill be bugging them at all.
The Wow Factor
Pictures online do it no justice at all....they all come off as flat... But when you take it out,....its mirror like.....super super sexy guitar.... the simplicity of the black and cream.....with the chrome....is unmatched. I always loved the look,....then you get it home,....and its so much prettier,....this is a true work of art.

I expect to keep this product for a long time. If it was lost or stolen I would replace it. I like the playablility, looks and price of this instrument the most
Sound
Crisp clear sound, not like some LP's. Sounds bad with distortions.. mean it in a good way. More compatible with Classic Rock. Some string buzz, but not too noticeable... could probably be fixed with a proper setup.
Features
The selector switch really distinguishes between the pickups.
Ease of Use
Easy to play. Smooth neck and good string action.
Quality
Fit and finish on this axe is impecable. Seems to be very well made.
Value
A great value on a very well made guitar

"Love Me Some Epi LP's!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This is a keeper. What more can I say?
Sound
I research and buy a guitar I dont have to change. I totally respect a guitar for how it is made, pick ups, neck size, etc. This is truly an Epi LP Standard. Perfect out of the case. A truly beautiful musical instrument.I do not detect any difference between my new Epi and a similar Gibson, except the much lower price. Mine is a China build and I can't complain. I honestly think Gibson and Fender better be careful with the Epi's and the Squires, they are premier builds and quality at a much lower price. No complaints on my new Epi LP Standard.
Features
Everything is ok.No complaints.
Ease of Use
It has a thin neck so be aware.
Quality
No different than a Gibson except the name on the headstock.
Value
Very much worth the price, If you are Jonesing for a Les Paul Standard this guitar will not disappoint. It does not leave me with wanting a Gibson.
Manufacturer Support
Not with Gibson but very reliable assistance from the retailer.
The Wow Factor
As i said before. This is a beautiful musical instrument. I caqn not find one flaw on mine and I have been collecting guitars for almost 50 years. The fear and stigma that goes with non American made guitars is quickly becoming a part of history. A generation from now the new guitar players will find these gems much sought after.

"Epiphone Les Paul Custom"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I have Gibson Les Paul custom and this Epiphone blows it away. The tone form this guitar is as versatile as the Gibson and its much liter than the Gibson. I added some Duncans and it rocks. Fast action, smoother neck the the Gibby and overall performance of a 9. You won't be disappointed!!!
Features
Lite weigth and excellent neck/fretboard, built for speed...
Quality
Black quilted maple top and binding is awesome, however, the hardware (pickups and tuners) were stock and crappy. I put in a Duncan Jeff Beck and a Duncan Custom Custom with Grover tuners, need I say more...
Value
This guitar is the best value for the money. Its made by Gibson standards and with many of the smae parts (bridge, stop bar, body wood) only its made in Korea by Samick, who make 85% of all the guitars on the market.
Manufacturer Support

Quilted top looks awesome...!

"Have it for over 7 years now"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
There's only one major complaint that i have about this guitar, it's really heavy. It doesn't seem like it at first but after about 30mins on the guitar standing up, your back lets you know. So think about that if you're going to be using it in a concert or something similar.
Sound
Sounds great, really clear and crisp. I've had some problems in the past with the pickups having a short in them but it's not that bad of a problem. It's really great for any style of music. The Humbuckers pick up the sound really well
Features
Well, it has a switch that lets you pick between the pickups. Three options bridge, both, and, neck.
Ease of Use
it's like a lot of other guitars
Quality
Some times it had a short and you had to play around with the pickup switch in order to get the sound to come out. But, that doesn't mean it's going to happen to you, just take care of it. Another thing is that i took the pick gaurd off of it because i think it looks a lot better like that.
Value
The value is great for this guitar, i've had mine now for about 7 years and it's still not dead i always use this guitar for everything
Manufacturer Support
I had to rate this in the middle because i didn't ever deal with the company personally, i didn't really have to
The Wow Factor
always wanted a Gibson les paul, this is the next best thing. I love how it's black and pearl.

"Awsome Blue Les Paul"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I own 3 other Les Pauls and this one is my favorite. The best looking, even with the blemish in the finish. I may supplement later with a "true Gibson" but I think this is an awsome guitar. I think I'll keep it.
Sound
Excellent sound
Quality
This guitar plays well and looks good, the finish isn't up to Gibson standards but it is nice. Mine has a quarter size blemish under the top clearcoat but I think it adds caracter. I love the intense blue sunburst. All the trim is clean and fits well. The only other problem for me is I think the pickups could be mounted better.
Value
Exellent value.
Manufacturer Support
Have not needed any yet.
The Wow Factor
Incredible looking guitar. Feels great, sounds as good as any other Les Paul I have played. The new Gibson pickups are a definite improvement.

""OK. Great thick sound, too heavy and wide.""

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I want a new guitar with a maple neck, and lighter body. I'm not satisfied with this product too much.
Sound
Great fat sound, and great sustain. Although it doesnt work great for classic acoustic sound, or finger plucking. Its exelent for hard rock, punk, or classic blues, because of its thick sound. Don't rely on it to play all kinds of music. The pick-ups arent like "great pickups" there sort of "yeah, pretty good".
Features
O.K. features, pick between treble, rythem, or in between. And of course the adjustment knobs.
Quality
Ecxellent no flaws, and looks hand crafted.
Value
Not worth that much.
The Wow Factor

What I got was what I paid for it. I wanted a set neck Les Paul, and I got it in this guitar. Nothing more.
Sound
Good Les Paul sound, but not consistent. There were high frets that required adjusting.
Features
It's got everything a Gibson Les Paul has.
Quality
The frets were terrible. Set up was wrong. The tone pots needed to be replaced. It's better than a $200 guitar, but it's not a Gibson. The set neck is good.

"You will forget that you ever parted with your money."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will be satisfied forever. More money in my pocket, no problems at all, beautiful sound, sexy form and finish.. theres not much more to ask for.
Sound
It has a very clean sound that takes <i>very</i> well to reverb. At high volumes the pickups will get slightly muddy, but its almost negligible. The sustain on this guitar is amazing,in my experience it gets even better sustain than the Gibson model. If you replace the humbuckers with some nice Duncans that you can buy for 200 dollars you will have an even better guitar than if you bought a Gibson LP Standard, and you will save yourself about 400 dollars. The high frets of the low E string produce some fret buzz, but this is a quick fix, you just have to experiment with how you string the guitar.
Features
It has 4 tuner knobs, and more conveniently it has a treble/rythm switch. i love that damn switch. Sounds great with a cheap wah pedal.
Quality
I've heard complaints about the tuner knobs, but i have never had any issues with them, it keeps in tune perfectly for me. You should re-tune your guitar every once in a while anyway because string tension wears down after use. The strings <i>will</i> break unless you use the Gibson brand strings. I have also gotten great sound and play from 10 guage DR's (nickel plated). Everything else has broken. And by all means stay away from super slinky's.
Value
Amazing value. This guitar is damn near exactly like the Gibson LP Standard, the only noticeable difference is the Pickups, which are easily replaced. Yet this guitar is Half the price of the Gibson. With the Gibson you are paying a good 400 dollars for the name at the top of the neck, and 200 more for the nicer pickups. My suggestion is to replace the standard open-coil humbuckers with some nice duncans, get a beautiful sound, and save yourself 400 dollars.
Manufacturer Support
I have never had any need for service, I have never had any problems what-so-ever.
The Wow Factor
This is a sexy ass guitar.

I am very satisfied with this guitar. The only time that i would replace would be if i was looking to buy a Gibson, however, that's not for another couple of years. I'm very happy with this guitar, and am not looking to replace it at all.
Sound
The sound is amazing, not a perfect 10 though. A perfect 10 would be found in a gibson, but if you're not looking to go bankrupt while buying a guitar, this certainly suits you.
Features
Looks beautiful and the 3 way switch definently gives you some variety to work with.
Ease of Use

"Excellent Guitar, but you can't please everyone."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will not hesitate to buy another Epiphone, I am sold. I would buy another if lost or stolen.
Sound
I'm impressed by the sound. I primarily play an American Strat, but this LP holds it's own at less than half the price. I have been guitar slinging for 33 years, this guitar is as good as you will get in it's price range...I believe it's as good as many guitars that are twice the price.
Features
The features are as good as any guitar out there. A nice touch would have been to include a four or six layer pick gaurd, I'm not real fond of the solid off white.
Ease of Use
The harmonics are right on, and the guitar was well set up right from the factory. The guitar has a very high quality feel.
Quality
Nice fret finishing, paint is excellent, electronic components are solid, and the chrome is thick and sturdy. One issue is that there is a very slight smudge on the neck binding...but I look at it as a beauty mark that gives it personality.
Value
I wish I could give a 15 rating for this guitar. I think that Gibson has done a good job to ensure that a quality product bares the Les Paul trademark name.
Manufacturer Support
No support yet needed. The store I bought it from has treated me well when it came to issues with their products. I expect that this will continue.
The Wow Factor
If your a guitar snob, pass on this guitar. If your a player with your feet on the ground that lets their playing speak for the quality of the guitar, get it.

"Great Beginner Package from Ibanez."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
A while ago, I became interested in guitars and decided I wanted to play guitar myself. I researched the guitar, read reviews, and asked store retailers about various guitars, famous guitarists and the equipment they play, and what guitars sound and play well. I considered several guitar beginner value packages, including two Ibanez packs, two Squier packs, a Peavey guitar package, and yet another package from ESP. I had narrowed my selection down to two: (a) the Squier StratPak, and (b) the Ibanez JS40 Jumpstart package. I purchased the Ibanez package in early May. When I received my guitar (a very nice Metallic Red color), I was very pleased. The finish is nice, the two single-coil, one humbucking pickup configuration sounds good, the neck is smooth and feels good, the action is good, and the fret and nut work is very good for a value-priced guitar. But most importantly, the guitar is enjoyable to play. In the few months I've been playing, I have continued to practice many riffs and chords with my guitar, and have progressed very well. My only complaint is very minor; the strings that come with the guitar aren't great, so I replaced mine with Ernie Ball strings and they play well. This may be the best beginner package you can buy. The guitar that comes with this package is better than the guitar in the Squier packs; I've played them both. The amp that comes with the pack is awesome. It sounds good clean, and has roaring, excellent distortion. The other included items, such as the gig bag, tuner, cable, strap, video, picks, and booklet are all quality accesories. If you purchase this package, you will not be disappointed. It is a great value at a great price.
Sound
The two single-coil, one humbucking pickup configuration sounds good. Played on included amp; sounds good clean, excellent distortion.
Features
5-way switching is good, one volume knob and one tone knob. Quality included accessories.
Quality
Good quality for a value-priced guitar.
Value
Very good value, considering all the included accessories.
Manufacturer Support
The Ibanez company makes very good guitars. Informative website. Included manuals with package are good.
The Wow Factor
It is a very nice guitar, with nice finish and good looks.

"Good instrument for the money."

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I bought this guitar to do some home recording, this is my first guitar after playing bass 20+ years. I think it will be fine once I make some adjustments to it.
Ease of Use
I had to change the strings and set the intonation before it would stay in tune. The manual is clear and helpful.
Quality
Hate to sound cliche', but you get what you pay for. The pickup select knob is angled a bit instead of being straight up and down like it should be. The D string hangs on the nut, making it hard to tune, I'm going to have to open that slot up a bit. The 12th and 13th frets are a little jagged just off the neck, I'm going to have to file those also so I don't cut my hand or break a string on them.
Value
A few small quality issues, but this is a solid guitar for the money.
The Wow Factor
The Les Paul is the coolest of all guitars, my first choice. This instrument is gorgeous!

"great gutiar, but change pickups"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
this is a prety good guitar is you dun wanna spend 100- bux on a gibson lp. you just gotta change the pickups then yur all set to gig
Sound
these pickups are a bit muddy. the output is low and they have alrigth tone. if you want better sound, change them.
Features
everything you would want on a guitar, well everything you hope on a guitar. sometimes the wood is chip from when they drill the holes, like mine is. on one of the pick guard holes, there is paint chipped off and on one of the pickup holes.
Quality
chips like i explained
Value
this is the best price on an lp and for the fact that gibson inspects it for defects and stuff.
Manufacturer Support
i was pretty satisfied except for the fact that they had to oder from epiphone before they could send one out to me.
The Wow Factor

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
its a kind of bassy guitar, but the fretboard is smooth as silk and makes slides real easy-actually the overall deepness and bass sound of this guitar makes it any rock players dream
Features
i like the tuning rod that comes custom fitted to them (by request) and the Cry-Baby distortion pedal sounds like ---good!
Quality
apparently you guys have pretty good shipping guys because my guitar arrived in perfect condition

"Nice....BUT"

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
The real skinny is that the guitar looks great, feels great, plays great BUT......the sucker won't stay in tune, especially the G-String and that terrible buzzing sound, it's awful, it's like playing a strat in front of the microwave with a TV aside of it.
Sound
Sounds good if you can hear it over the humming and buzzing. I've never heard a hummbucker buzz so much like this one does.
Features
Same features as always..pick guard, 3-way switch, uh!
Ease of Use
It's a guitar, learn it, play it!
Quality
Feels like a quality instrument. Finish is nice, neck is solid....Just the buzzing, it's quite annoying.
Value
I suppose it's good value considering the price of a Gibson. I stopped playing for about 6 years and havent' purchased a guitar since the early 90's. What the hell happed to the price of the Gibson Les Paul?
Manufacturer Support
Haven't dealt with the company, yet! I suspect the buzzing a problem that needs to be fixed by the company.
The Wow Factor
Finish quality of this guitar makes it quite appealing.

"Guitar Worth Buying"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Sounds really good, just like all Les Pauls. High notes have that sound between notes that make it great for solos. The pickups are really responsive.
Features
The pickguard/scratchplate is good, everything is really well chosen in terms of features. The neck will chip, I've heard that and experienced it, but will never break off. Any scratches on it and I would freak out, even though it isn't my guitar. It just looks so good.
Ease of Use
Really easy to use, I played "Born to be Wild" on it the first time I saw it just to test out the sounds, from first position to barre to solos, everything is really easy to do, sliding is not as awkward as a Stratocaster.
Quality
If this product wasn't made well, I'm a cow. Yeah, it's made well! It dropped off the stage and slammed onto the concrete, but only a small chip came out of the neck, not even a string was broken. It was still in tune enough to do the show.
Value
Hell, yeah, this product is worth it's typical selling price. It's just a Gibson with a different name on the headstock.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know, the guitar is so good, but I've heard they're good so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
The Wow Factor
This guitar looks great, too. If it plays well and looks good, you know you have a good guitar.

"Epiphone Les Paul 100 Very Detailed"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I love this guitar. It is four years old, has already needed the neck fixed twice(because it was dropped), and needed a new wax job because it has been played so much.
Sound
The sound of this product is really good. It is very responsive and can pick up any note anywhere on the fretboard without a problem like having to switch pickups. This guitar is very compatible with my music style, mostly heavy metal. Every note is equal, but high notes sound awesome. It sounds really good live, just incredible. In a recording is sounds good too, but everything sounds worse in a recording. With this product, I used a Crate 30 watt amp. I would just like to say that effects sound so good on high notes.
Features
The product didn't include accessories. The most useful features of this guitar are that it isn't all solid, and there are some air parts inside to reduce weight, and the bridge system is really easy. With my Gibson, I have to wrap the string through, backwards, and over. I usually need two people to do it. The selection of components is fairly decent. I would recommend that you also buy a les paul case.
Ease of Use
It is really easy to get great sounds from this product. It is really easy to modify the sound to anybody's personal taste. I use it to play heavy metal, my friend uses it to play jazz and rock 'n' roll, it's so easy. This is one of the most playable guitars that I have ever used. It only goes out of tune every month, which saves at least an hour of your life every month.
Quality
Any Les Paul is made well. The finish is really good and it looks awesome in honeyburst. There are no loose parts or anything wrong with it. It's better than my Gibson. I am not worried that anything will break(other than a string every once in a while, but that can be replaced). This guitar would be very appropriate for use on the road. Like thay say, Les Pauls are built to preform, night after night, gig after gig. There are really no bad aspects of the quality. It has been around for four years and only has a dent in the back of the neck. All of the mechanical parts work great.
Value
This is a great guitar, but it is still a bit pricy. The quality makes up for that.
Manufacturer Support
The only thing that's ever happened is that it needed a new wax job. I haven't dealt with the company, just a guitar shop, trying to find the right wax.
The Wow Factor
This guitar looks and feels great. It has a great design and plays really well. I just love single cutaway guitars. I am saving up to buy it after my les paul 100. It is so cool.

I want one of these guitars real bad, if i had one i would never place it and play it constantly. i will own one someday!
Sound
The sound of the Epiphone Les Paul Standard is one of the best sounding guitars. Anything that you want to play and have it sound good i suggest this guitar
Features
The features I like about this guitar is its Block inlays. Most guitars have dot inlays which are not as sweet as Block inlays.
Quality
This les paul has great qualities. It has a nice finish and it is perfect to the touch. It feels great!
Value
This guitar is definetly worth the price.

Since i dont have one i cant answer that, but my friend never had any problems.

"Great deal in my opinion"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Unless I manage to get rich some day, I'll never find myself thinking, "You know, it's time to turn in the Epi for a real Gibson." And now that I've had the chance to get used to the feel of an LP, I'll never be able to go without one.
Sound
Sustain is astonishingly good for a guitar in this price range. Lack of sustain is one thing I've never liked about my Thinline Telecaster. It' s true that the pickups are a bit muddy...I may put Duncans in mine, if I ever get around to it. The problem is especially pronounced on the 5th and 6th strings when playing the bridge pickup. (I know..."Duh!") I can get some really sweet tones on the 3rd and 4th strings around frets 7 to 12, but then when I hit the 5th and especially the 6th string, there's no definition at all in the sound. Still, I get some really warm, lovely sounds out of this guitar. And I'm sure the Duncans would perk things up considerably.
Features
Eh, how do you rate features on guitars? They're what you'd expect.
Quality
I'll ding a few small things. The screw on the front strap button (or whatever it's called) keeps slowly working its way loose. I have never seen this happen on any of the dozen or so guitars I've owned. (Though I know a guy whose very expensive American Strat is much worse than this guitar.) Irritating. Also, the nut on the plug keeps coming loose, but that's a much more common problem. The volume pots are fairly unresponsive until you get down to 3 or 4, then they drop off all at once. Makes it difficult to fade out evenly on a heavy, crunchy chord. Outside of that, I've found that the tuners are pretty good. Sometimes a lot of extreme bending will knock the thing out of tune, but not very often. The bridge seems to like breaking my high E strings...I go through them like crazy. Much more quickly than on the Tele. And they always break at the bridge. Otherwise, the neck seems great, the frets are awesome in my opinion, playability is really high.
Value
I've had the chance to play a few real Gibson LP's, and I loved them. But, at least to my ears and experience level, there's no way I can justify the $1100 difference in price between the two. I'm no pro, so I'm not saying the Gibson is a ripoff (though I would go so far as to say that at least a few hundred dollars of the price on a Gibson is for the name). Overall, I'd rate the value of this guitar extremely high. 9 going on 10.
Manufacturer Support
No idea. I've only had the thing maybe three months.
The Wow Factor
The axe is beautiful, highly playable, and it sounds great, apart from some muddiness. I have the black model with white trim, and I've always thought the black LP was one of the prettiest guitars out there. Sure, I wanted a sunburst, or even a red one...but I think black looks dead sexy.

Epiphone Les Paul Std. Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I play guitar as a hobby and sometimes play in the local bars. as you already now epiphone is a division of GIBSON musical insrtruments. so therefore it is obviously built with same care as a regular stock sg or les paul. i'd guess that you are wondering why they are so cheap and thatis because epiphone use cost efficient parts. for example this guitar has plain alcino buckers while the gibson has 498 buckers which won't domuch to the sound but is still higher quality.so they replace good parts with average parts inorder to decrease the price while barely doing anything to the sound of th instrument
Features
this guitar has many great features like the pearl inlays, chrome plates over the alcino buckers and cool classic les paul styling
Quality
This guitar is very well put together and I have not had any problems with it.
