"HUGE, but Excellent Quality"

Imagine a guitar case built along the lines of the USS Constellation's flight deck...Yeah, this thing is massive (and heavy) but it's extremely well made and provides a high degree of protection. The various layers of padding do a great job of supporting the body and neck.Like others have pointed out, the guitar fits very snugly, and due to the very thick side padding you do have to put it in a certain way.

"Does Not Fit Epiphone Exclusive Run Explorer in ODG"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I bought this case for the Epiphone Excusive Run Explorer in Olive Drab Green. Epiphones and Gibsons need hardshell cases to protect necks and headstocks. It was a shock to find out that the guitar does not fit in this case. I tried finding information about the body measurements being different between models, but nothing of the Explorer lineup in recent years indicates that this particular model would be any different than the models the case says it will fit. It's just a frustrating situation to find oneself in.That being said, the case itself is decent in quality. Soft plush lining, spacious internal storage compartment, seemingly decent latches. It's a little on the thin side in terms of the hard shell materials. It doesn't inspire the kind of confidence I'd want to have taking it on tour, but it is perfectly suitable for light travel and storage. Just make sure you have one of the smaller-bodied models mentioned in the description and you will be good to go.Also, credit to zZounds for their customer service and ability to handle a frustrated guitar player.
Features
I would like to have seen better neck and headstock support from Epiphone, but this is also a concern for Gibson. Gibson seems to be addressing it in some of their new cases. With neck breaking being a widely known issue with their guitars, I would like to see the manufacturers taking more active steps to ensure the safety of their customers' guitars.
Quality
The case seems to be ready to handle whatever most hobbyists and home guitarists will throw at it. A touring or traveling musician might want to invest in a touring or flight case.
Value
If my guitar had fit, I'd be well pleased with this purchase.
The Wow Factor
There's something about having the guitar manufacturer's logo on a case that makes me feel good about lugging it around. It says the guitar inside is not some parts guitar or impostor, it's the real deal. I appreciate that extra bit of appeal.

"This case fits your 1958 epi explorer. It’s a tight fit but it does work."

Got this as a gift for my 2019 epi explorer. At first it seemed like it didn’t fit, but I didn’t realize you have to put it in a certain way. Push the horn that the pickup switch is on into the case first, then push down on the rest of the guitar and it should slide in. Great case, durable and solid built. I recommend it.

"Did not fit my Epiphone Explorer"

I was excited to get a case for new guitar. This is the first guitar I have owned in a few years, and also the most expensive I've ever purchased, so I wanted it protected. Unfortunately, it did not fit my explorer. The top wing was an inch to wide for the case, and the center divider was 2 inches to far back to fit the lower front wing, and the neck pocket was not properly placed. Pretty disappointed, but zZounds made the return process simple.

"Case"

The case is huge, bigger than my 6 string bass case. That being said it is very durable and I have no worries about the well being of my guitar. Btw it fits a Dean Dave Mustain zero, in 'deth we trust.

It will fit but its very tight like the other guy mention in another post. I'm not sure if this is made for the korina or not. I'm hoping it will mold and shape better after time.
