I always wanted a nice Les Paul in silver sparkle. I thought this would be it, but the color isn't sparkle, more of a silver primer with a high gloss coating. I guess that's what the "faded" part in the description means. The color is actually very consistent and not faded at all. I fail to see sparkles. However, I love playing this beast and will keep it. I've never seen another with this look, so I feel I have a very unique Les Paul with all the Custom Pro trimmings. It actually looks quite nice as long as you're not examining it from a few feet way. On stage, it reflects light very nicely. Sparkles would have been nice though, as in the description. If you want sparkles, grab the Kiss version! Cool too. No manufacturer experience, so 3 stars. I can't say.
