Eminence are NOT messing around with this one! Their description is pretty apt, the Man O' War is a very aggressive speaker with a distinctive "British style" tone. Plenty of highs and lows, but REALLY heavy on the mids, so of course it's excellent for metal as well as just about any "rock" tone you want. But one thing the marketing department doesn't mention is that its highly-compressed, ultra-smooth response and high power handling make it a great choice for clean tones, too - I can see how this would be a good choice for many jazz and country tones with the right amp. If you want to use it for blues you can do that too, just be aware that this one is rated for 120W so you're NOT going to get it to break up at low wattages ;)
Sound
VERY thick, crunchy mids. Not a problem if you can work with that, but if you're insistent on only the scoop-iest of scooped mids, you'll want to pair it with the right amp and cab (and maybe outboard EQ) to make it happen. You shouldn't have to, though - I'm using mine with the Bogner Ecstasy Mini that I picked up a few months ago, and it scoops as far as I want to (which is probably more than most). I've also put this same speaker in a solid-state Fender combo, and it scoops even better in that one due to the Fender's tone stack. Very wide range of tones available, it just depends on how you set it up. I play lots of 80s, 90s, and "modern" metal styles with this in a closed-back VHT 1x12" cab, and it delivers the goods across all of them. With all that said, the highs are a lot less nasty than you might expect, and if you dial your amp right, you can get that "smooth" treble and mid response out of it, too. Finally, don't forget that new speakers always have to "break in" after you first get them! Look this up for suggestions if you want to speed up the process, but the short version is that the "crispy" overtones will smooth out as the speaker works.
Features
Are any other guitar speakers still "Made in the U.S.A."? I know that doesn't always mean what it used to, but apparently to Eminence it does. You can get other brands that are "as good", but I'm not sure you can find "better" at any price.
Ease of Use
ALMOST as easy as it gets! Obviously when you're replacing speakers, you have to know the impedance and power rating that you need, so for me that doesn't count toward or against "ease of use". As long as you can handle that, plus at least 4 screws and plugging in two (labeled) spade lugs, you'll be fine. From there, dialing in any new speaker is going to involve the same steps.
Quality
Eminence has been one of the most popular speaker brands for just about every giant amp manufacturer since before I was born, and that's because they make speakers that last forever, sound great, and are very reasonably priced. No complaints in this department!
Value
MORE than worth the price! Even a lot of the biggest British brand's speakers aren't made in England anymore, but their marketing department apparently hasn't gotten the memo yet - their prices are significantly higher than Eminence for any comparably-spec'd unit. Again, you might be able to find "as good" for a lot more money, but I don't think you can find "better" at any price.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to reach out yet, and I don't anticipate having to.
The Wow Factor
"Wow", indeed! Speakers (and tone in general) is HIGHLY subjective, so while I really love this speaker, you might hate it. Check out specs and sound clips if you don't have the money to try every speaker out there ;) Changing your speakers will change your sound at least as much as switching string brands or pickups - almost as much as changing to a different amp! You may need to try a few models to nail the sound you want, but if it sounds like the Man O' War might be a good candidate, it's a great place to start.

Got this 16ohm version in all red they don't paint them red anymore to replace stock cts speakers that already got re-coned in 2001 for my 1980 LABseries LA5 this can get so many different voicings I just dial in any tone I like crank it up to true 100 watts rms paired with a Texas heat 16 ohm balanced out with a pot in between them cuz its louder than the tx heat, play them a lot and they are breaking in sounding much better than the first day.

I needed a speaker that could withstand my 100 watt Marshall, and put inside a isolation cabinet. And it did great. Its made in America, and sounds very compressed like i needed it to be. I like Eminence's web site, it has every speaker that they make being played thru a tube amp, and controls on the amp set st the 12 o'clock position so you can here exactly how different each speaker is.

Overall its a great buy, especially for the price. I wish I could mic it, but i cant get it to sound good.
Sound
Very aggressive speaker! This beast makes my Spider valve hd100 growl. I paired this with an eminence swamp thang in a bugera 4X12 cab ( The cab is amazing, but the speakers are very brittle and thin). So i plugged these in with the swamp thang in an x pattern and played it in for 3 months. mid and low end punch in the gut. I dont like the swamp thang to much, so I will be replacing them with governors to make an uberkab setup. But this speaker is GREAT for metal and any good ol rock. Not so good if you rely on speaker break up for distortion. I docked 2 points because I have yet to get a good sound from micing it using an sm57. I just cant find the sweet spot, it always sounds completely different than what I hear live.
Features
Its a speaker. I gave it a nine because it doesn't have the new FDM control.
Ease of Use
Well, it has a positive sign on the positive terminal, and a negative sign on the negative terminal. Anyone with basic wiring and soldering skills can do it.
Quality
Its eminence.
Value
Half the price of a celestion, with a tone i more prefer.
Manufacturer Support
Their web site was all I needed to decide my tone. They have sound clips and a great tone chart. And if you dont know what you want, just shoot them and email and they will tell you what speakers would sound best.
The Wow Factor
Sex appeal, its probably the best looking speaker around. Red metal basket red coat label. And heck, they even threw in some picks and a sticker!

Been using a set of 4 of these for a year or so and they consistently bring the tone from the ranges of my guitar synth to ranging metal hard core. High wattage ability is important to me that the speaker does not tub out or distort on its own. These puppies handle what they get, I am sold on Eminence and the price is excellent. Rare do you get such quality and performance for lower costs.

"Eminence ManOwar 12" 16ohm"

I was looking to upgrade an older model speaker in a 2x12 cab. I researched for awhile and landed on the Manowar. I play 80's metal/hard rock music and wanted something that had a good chunky bottom with a high gain crunch. I paired this speaker with a 12" 16 ohm B-52 in the 2x12. Playing with an Orange Micro Dark with 12 o'clock settings and this thing rocks! The Manowar is just what I was looking for. zZounds had a great price, speedy delivery and packed really well. I would buy from them any day!
