I put a set of these strings on my Guild. I am comparing them to the feel and tone of my elixirs and martin sp strings. The feel is somewhat smooth. Not as smooth as the elixir but slightly better than the martin sp. The tone in my opinion is about as good as a basic set of martin strings. Honestly I can not feel enough difference in the smoothness of the stings to make it a reason to change to these primarily. I have not tested the longevity of these strings yet but if they hold up longer than the Martin sp then I may buy some more. Otherwise, I see no real benefits of changing to these strings.
