I think this box does what it's supposed to do. I've been able to re-create the sound I was looking for, so that's enough to make me happy.
Sound
Does everything I expected from the unit. DigiTech features a "Chain Demo" audio sample in its website. I play bass, and I liked the sound from the "Fusion Bass" sample. I wanted to duplicate that sound, so I needed to purchase this effect in order to do so.
Features
The best feature with this unit, and I suppose with all of DigiTech's stand-alone effects boxes: how easy it is to change batteries. Now I personally don't like to use batteries, but if you do, you'll love the way DigiTech made this function so simple. No more need for a screwdriver!!!
Quality
Like my other DigiTech products... built like a tank!
Value
Comparably priced with similar units from other manufacturers.
Manufacturer Support
Don't know... haven't had to call on them... yet.

"A must have for beginners and pros alike."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Use the loop function to eliminate the rythym player. This is a great pedal, no doubt, I highly recommend it for all players from beginners to pros. Just awesome.
Sound
Excellent sound, though the reverse is kind of glassy.
Features
Wow how many features can you jam into one box, I'm still discovering new uses.
Quality
This thing is a tank, easiling takes abuse and responds great to it.
Value
Easily worth the hundred dollars with its humoungus range.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed any support so its hard for me to tell, but the waranty is nice.
The Wow Factor
Its not the sexiest of the pedal but the silver paint job gives it some flair along with its power.

"Awesome Delay / Echo / Looper Pedal!"

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I've owned the DigiTech DigiDelay Digital Delay Pedal since early 2004, and it's my absolute favorite effects pedal! The stereo output is amazing with a "ping-pong" effect, and the four second looping feature is a lot of fun! I use the Tape Delay and Mod (Chorus) Delay features the most, and am able to use a long delay to perform full canons (classical pieces like a round) with a single instrument! Used in conjunction with DigiTech's MultiChorus and DigiVerb pedals, you can crank out some fat sounds! For some added fun, try turning the Time knob while the DigiDelay plays back some echos! The only feature I wish this stompbox had is some way to turn off the dry sound, playing back only the echo. This would make the Reverse Delay feature much more fun. These pedals are built like tanks, using metal construction; and produce high-quality, digital sound. Their metallic paint makes them look really cool, too! DigiTech X-Series pedals provide you with the most bang for your buck, and I highly recommend them! Make sure to grab a DigiTech AC power supply so you can save money on batteries!

"almost a great pedal."

I experimented with it for 3 hours. I really dug the sound of the effect, so I didn't want to toss it without giving it a fair shake.
Sound
The sounds of the delay are very impressive and useable. I especially liked the tape and modulated. It does generate a noticeable hum compared to a similar boss pedal, which made it unuseable in the effects loop. Using it before the preamp is better, and for non-micd situations is fine. Except for the tape setting, there is a clicking sound as you adjust the delay time, which is annoying, but only when you change the setting.
Features
a very attractive set of features.
Value
Due to the hum issue, I think this should not be in same range as boss pedal. The price was a determining factor for me trying this pedal, as it had more useful features than similarly priced boss.
The Wow Factor
I am sending it back.

"INCREDIBLE"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I personally think this is one of the best delay pedals ever. If it were to break, Id either get the same one or maybe dish out a little more $ if there was a "superior" one made by digitech.
Sound
Awesome control! The level knob helps keep the repeats from covering the original notes and making it a mushy mess.
Features
7 delays in 1 pedal? what more do you need? With the Repeats and Time knobs you can basically achieve any type of delay sound you want. Ive tried other pedals like the DD3 and DD7 Boss pedals, and you cant achieve the same sound unless you have BOTH of those hooked up together. The power of 2 $100+ pedals in 1 $100 box, its a great deal.
Ease of Use
Its pretty self explanatory. Level is universal on all pedals, Repeat and Time are easy. If anything, you'd have to read the manual to know what the different modes are.
Quality
Its a digitech pedal, so its basically reinforced like an airplane blackbox lol. Built to last.
Value
$100 for extreme delay power. Awesome bang for the buck.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it
The Wow Factor
Own it

Sound

Features
average pedal. nothing fancy but still good for wat its got
Ease of Use
its a touch tricky to figure out but if you read the book and figure out wat your doing wrong then itll be a breeze and a great stage effect.
Quality
liveing up to the digitech name. its perfect and well built
Value
great well worth it.
Manufacturer Support
i havent had to use support but whne i had trouble with another pedal zzounds was great and shipped a new one without me having to send it back first.

DigiTech DigiDelay Customer Review

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Sound is great.
Features
I love all the features on this pedal. The reverse mode is key, and differentiates it from most other delay pedals. 10 seconds delay, and infinitely repeating sounds are awesome.
Ease of Use
Very, very easy to use and figure out. Tap tempo loop can be tricky at first, but read the manual and its no problem.
Quality
no loose parts, made of metal. Very good quality, i would compare this pedal to a boss pedal.
Value
In my opinion, this is comparable to the boss dd-6 at a much lower cost.
Manufacturer Support
none needed

DigiTech DigiDelay Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
I have been playing for 3 years and I have had 3 different delay pedals, Digi Delay is by far the best. It has 6 different settings. And is mad so you can customize your sound. It took me about 2 hours to set the sound right. Since then I have never wrote or played a solo with out it.

"best delay pedal you will ever see"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
such an amazing pedal. especially if you play by yourself a lot. the looping is great. 4 seconds is a lot of time for a rhythm. This pedal will probably be a permanent addition to my stage setup. I highly doubt there's another pedal out there better than this. or if there is, it won't be for $100.
Features
This thing is amazing. it has 3 different types of echos, the standard delay, a tape echo, and a chorus echo. with the chorus echo you can put the time to 0 and it acts as a chorus effect. it has reverse, which is great. and the best part is the 4 second looping function. it's great if you're just playing by yourself. and you can layer the loop. you can put down a rhythm, then put in a bass line, then start soloing, and it sounds like you have an entire band minus a drummer. and I don't know if there's a limit to the layering, I haven't found it. also, for metal leads, plug in a distortion pedal before the Digidelay pedal, and then use the mod delay and put the time to 0. it sounds so good.
Quality
it's made of metal. what more do you need?
Value
for a $100 you get 3 kinds of echos, a chorus effect, reverse, and looping. incredible value.
Manufacturer Support
haven't dealt with support. given how solidly built the thing is, doubt I'll ever need to.
The Wow Factor
it's simple and looks good. the silver and black look good together. plus, I love the fact that it's made of metal.
