As with all SKB cases, sturdy build & great quality. I didn't double check the measurements & find this case is deeper than my othere, larger SKB case. Just a minor irritation.

I have a Roland D-110 sound module and a Roland Octa Capture sound capture/mixer which I wanted to mount in a rack. I looked over many different types of racks until I decided to settle on one that was portable and compact. The SKB 6U Effects Rack Mount Case fit the bill exactly as it has enough space to fit the two devices I already had plus room to spare for additional devices like the patch bay which I later acquired and a MIDI interface which I'll be acquiring eventually. The case also has mounting rails at the back. This is great because it allowed me to mount a 1U power strip at the back and power all the devices from a central power strip.I chose this case over the Gator case because the Gator cases have threaded rack rails while the SKB cases use clip-on nuts instead of threading the rack rail (threaded rails can be prone to stripping).
