I've used Martin for 5+ years and my dad played guitar about all his life with a martin. For the money, you can't find any better, as a matter of fact even the higher priced other brand strings to me is not much difference.

Musical Background:

5+ years. Just play at home mostly

Musical Style:

Christian, gospel, 50's and 60's

Sound
I tried Martin's SP (Sustained Playability), maybe they do last longer, but I can't wait to take them off and put the bronze wound back on. SP's are to glassy, brassy and bright. All mid-range and no bottom -- especially if you have a lam-top that needs a lot of bass to get the wood vibrating. The moral is don't skimp on strings that last longer. They'll turn your adavanced jumbo into your basic shrimp!
