I see no need to look for anything else. The Cloudlifter works exactly as advertised, but you won't know exactly what it will do for you until you try one.
Sound
The sound of the product? There is none. Absolutely silent, which is the whole point. I typically use mine with two ribbon mics, and the added 20dB of CLEAN, SILENT boost makes the mic's sound just incredible. I no longer have to boost the gain at the console so the signal is incredibly clean and pure. If you own ribbons (even the less expensive Chinese variety)or a good dynamic mic, get this thing and go record an acoustic guitar. You will be amazed at the added detail and dynamic range since you can now get all the headroom out of your console or preamp. Highly, highly recommended.
Features
There are no accessories. No switches. Just in and out...
Ease of Use
Like I said - no switches, nothing to adjust. Plug the mic into one end and the other into a preamp or mixer with phantom power and you're done.
Quality
Built like a tank.
Value
I would not hesitate for a second to buy another if anything happened to this one.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to deal with them after the fact, but I've called the factory to talk about the device and the folks there are really cool.
The Wow Factor
If simplicity equates to "sexy", then this thing is it. If perfect functionality is your thing, you'll love the Cloudlifter.
