My sister and I bought a SoundLink Color for my almost 91 year old, hard of hearing father for Christmas. The goal was to hook it up to his TV to improve the sound quality. It FAR surpassed our expectations! The sound is much richer and he is able to hear the TV at MUCH lower levels. At first, he had it on a music channel and then switched it to a channel with dialogue. His face came alive. He started quoting back the dialogue that he just heard. It was nothing short of remarkable. I know it has only been one day, but I swear his mood is better. He also has a tendency to fall asleep in front of the TV but he stayed awake until after 11:00 PM last night, and I think it was because he could hear what was happening on his programs. I think that many older people seem senile because what they THINK they are hearing and responding to is completely different from what is transmitted. That said, have you folks ever considered getting into the hearing aid business? Dad has hearing aids but hates them. He said that they sound tinny and if he turns them up, they screech. Since he now hears his TV at a lower level, I was wondering if you could incorporate your technology into hearing aids. With the aging population in the U.S., you would have a ripe market for quality sound in hearing aids. Finally, I just want to thank you for making the SoundLink. Although it was Dad's present, it was a gift to me in that I can now go into other rooms in his house and not hear his TV blaring.

First off..for a small speaker of this size this puts out awesome sound! Its not for big parties..but it good for 20 to 25 friends for back ground music. I've used it at work, My bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen and My friends dinner party..and got the look of " is that coming from that!!??" The sound from this speaker really is full. You do get your highs, mids and yes bass. Its not floor shaking, but it thumps and you know bass it present. The manual tells you to get more bass place it near a wall...and they are not kidding. I places in my bathroom while i brushed my teeth and played "Comfort Fit- Sorry" from my iPad via blue tooth and it thumped harder with the wall behind it. My neighbor can here it thumping in his apartment! I played Jazz on it and heard a whole new depth to my music. Ive played EDM too on it and it handled it like a champ. The controls are very easy to get and voice prompts are helpful too. All in all and me being a DJ/Producer this product really exceeded my expectations. For a portable Blue tooth speaker for Ipad, Iphone(4s,5, 6 which it was tested on) and Android, Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, Tab 3, Tab 4....this works awesome across the board.
