The mic sounds good but the shock mount is extremely weak and cannot support the weight of this mic. It was made for its look more than its durability. I had this mic for about 2days before it broke. If you buy this mic make sure its stable!! you might have to crazy glue the mount.

My room is not treated, I don't have the Robbie pre yet, and I'm using my O-K Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro.. AND THIS MIC STILL SOUNDS AAAAAWWWWWWEEEESOME! Blue Microphones is the RECESSION MIC COMPANY for any producer, engineer, or singer-songwriter. Neumann produces really great looking, sounding, and yet EXPENSIVE microphones. And when they try to make an affordable mic the sound quality, features, value are sacrificed. That's not a secret. But Blue Microphones founder Skipper Wise is on something different..... You will miss out on a great mic trying to go with "studio stanards"... BS!! GET THIS GREAT LOOKING, SOUNDING, AFFORDABLE(3X) MICROPHONE, YOU WILL THANK YOURSELF and me.

Although the shock mount needs a lil' work, it doesn't reflect any bad on the microphone itself. STILL A GREAT PACKAGE (case, pop filter).
Ease of Use
Just set this wonderful piece of equipment up and you are ready to smash! My room is not even treated yet and this mic is killer!! LOVE IT!!!!

REALLY...... THIS IS BLUEMICS.COM HERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT... AMERICAN MADE!!! USA ROCKS!!!! THE QUALITY IS SUPER; (just the shock mount needs a lil' work though). BUT OOOWWWEEE QUALITY IS AWESOME!!!!

THIS MICROPHONE SHOULD BE MORE THAN $500 US DOLLARS!!! It's basically the Kiwi without the 9 polar patterns. Don't get me wrong, the Kiwi is a beast of it's own kind but if your money is funny...... GET THE REACTOR!!! YOU ARE STILL GONNA SMASH HIT RECORDS WITH THIS MIC!!!
