Behringer BSY600 Bass Synthesizer Pedal

Choose your waveform, adjust the rate of decay, and beef the sound up with the Resonance control. The BSY600 is the ticket to fat and juicy synth-bass tones.

I bought one of these back in March 2012, and immediately after the 30-day return policy ran out, it stopped working (figures). I sent it back to Behringer under warranty in April, where it has sat for 6 months. I have called and they keep telling me that a replacement will be sent out in a couple days. It's been 6 months and nothing. For the month I used it, I loved the sounds I got. It's unfortunate that their customer service is so lacking. I cannot recommend ANYTHING by Behringer, if this is how they treat their customers.

"Nice pedal for a nice price"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

This is a pretty flexible pedal, you can read the specs for yourself. There is a lot of different sounds you can get out of this pedal. It took a little bit of tweaking on my bass to get it to register when I was plucking and when I was holding a note. Once everything was tweaked the pedal became a blast to play around with. One of my favorite features is the note sustain which allows you to hold one note while playing others over that. For the price of this pedal you cannot go wrong. A few problems with this pedal would be the fact it's made entirely out of plastic, it's by no means a fragile pedal but I wouldn't use the sustain effect at a gig for fear of stepping to hard. Second con is the note tracking on the higher a string is not the best and tends to get a little glitchy.

I will definately upgrade as soon as financially practical.
Sound
Has some nice synth sounds. Needs alot of adjusting. Knob labels are not very helpful as to what they actually control. For the money, not to bad, overall.
Ease of Use
Needs plenty of trial and error. Labels on knobs not too helpful.
Quality
I cannot turn the effects off with the foot pedal and by-pass unless the synth knob is turned to the first synth option. Extremely inconvenient.
Value
Cheap enough, but you could definately find a better pedal for more cash.
Manufacturer Support
have not dealt with them
The Wow Factor
Well...I did want it because I neede synth bass sounds. This was the only pedal in my price range at the time. If you have more cash - use it to get a better pedal.
