"Phenomenal value in a powered cabinet"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
Have used Mackie and JBL, still own the JBL's. These are almost as clean as the Mackie, and frankly, I like them better than the JBL's. Power to spare, for me. One pair does 1000 seats, two pairs will power 1500 - seat venues.
Quality
Typical of Behringer...amazing value for the money. Really hard to beat
Manufacturer Support
I own a few Behringer products, and have never had to contact support on anything from them at this point.

It does what I need it to do.
Sound
I have a hard time giving top marks for anything.I use one on the platform at my church and it works fine. I think that it sounds natural and clear. Plenty of sound for the choir and soloists.
Features
It's a speaker with amps. The EQ works well and helps with the acoustics of the platform.
Ease of Use
Simple to use. I did find that a low noise guitar cable works far better than speaker cable when connecting to the mixer. (Hum with speaker cable - no hum with guitar cable )
Quality
It is a speaker that looks nice, seems durable, never had an issue with it for the use I need it for.
Value
I happen to like the thing. I have heard the JBL Eon 15 and am not impressed. Granted they have a tight sound in the mids to uppers, but sound like powerful shelf speakers. I personally like the PA sound from a speaker. That is what you get from the B300. If you want to expand sound, buy a BBE enhancer and plug it in. The B300 can handle it. If you want a product you need to buy a product for your needs. This product suits my needs. Good product, great bang for the buck. This company does give you a product that will fit most consumers needs. We are not all Aerosmith and don't need to be oversold by some "high end companies". Beside of which , don't really sound or perform any better than any body else. As a goo friend of mine says, "you never know what anyone else is hearing".
Manufacturer Support
no clue - never needed them
The Wow Factor
It looks good and is practical for me.

"At this point, I am very satisfied with this product. I don't think the speakers are as heavy as some have described, I am able"

I hope to be using this product for many years. I would replace them for a similar item by the same manufacturer if I were satisfied with the performance and reliability after using them for a longer period of time.
Sound
The sound is very clear with a wide range of frequency, I was amazed at the bottom end. I heard no distortion at club level volumes.
Features
There were no accessories included with this product, I would have preferred that covers be included.
Quality
I think these speakers are built very well and seem sturdy enough for many years of use both for DJ gigs and the band. I thought the pole mount holes should have been the larger size rather than the smaller size, but it seems to be steady enough on the speaker stands.
Value
This is an excellent bargain compared to similar products.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to deal with the company, but the web site is easily accessable.
The Wow Factor
Very actractive item, sound is very clear, well priced and very practical for my purposes

I'm allready looking for replacements. Will probably go with the Samson db500A.
Sound
Comparable with Makie or JBL
Features
Not much to it.
Quality
I've had some problems with the Hi-Frequeny drivers. I ended up buying 3 of them. Currenlty only one is working at 100%. Dissapointing for such a good speaker.
Value
Bang for the buck. But you get what you pay for.

I have to ship my speakers to Seattle to have them repaired. At my cost. Its cheaper for me to have them fixed here but am voiding the warranty by doing so. What to do!
The Wow Factor
Very sharp looking unit.

"Great, Crystal Clear Sound, but just a couple of quirky problems away from greatness!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I've had no problems with the new units, and have been using them for well over a year now. Certainly I would buy them again, as I am quite pleased with them. Hey Behringer, how about a smaller unit to compete with Mackie's Powered speaker with a 12" bottom for ease of carrying and for ability to pack into a small car with all of our other gear.
Sound
The sound is "transparent", as Behringer says. It just doesn't distort at all. Sound is crystal clear. When I'm not using them for mains for my PA setup, I take one in place of my keyboard amp. Since I frequently kick bass while playing gigs, the dual amplifiers (High/Low) in the B300's keep the bass thumping through even when I'm doing a lot of string patches, horns, etc. on the top end. A normal keyboard amp (most don't have bi-amp setup) sounds great UNTIL I start playing heavy on the top end. Then the bass changes from punchy to whimpy mud! The Behringers just keep on pumping that bass regardless of what's going on in the high end, and are a much better solution than dragging a keyboard amp AND a bass amp to each gig! I've owned two of them for a while now, and have used them on many gigs. I would have rated them a solid "10" on sound, except that they both have a slight hum when no signal is being sent through them. Leaving the onboard gain at 75% or less negates the hum, but I wish it weren't there in the first place.
Features
The speakers are built in such a way that if you sit them on a flat stage and someone bumps them in front, they may fall over backwards!!! This is because they are set up (with a very poor cabinet design, in my opinion) to be used sitting upright OR leaning back to function as a monitor speaker. They have a "little tiny footprint", compared to how far they stick out in back of the speaker to accomodate the monitor position legs. This is a constant source of aggrivation to me as I drive to the gig and my speakers keep shifting around in the back of my van on the way! Although this is not a problem at the gig if you use them on speaker stands (I usually do), it's something to consider if you usually place your speakers on the ground. This is probably my only major gripe about these units. By the way, if you want your speakers on stands and you don't have someone to help you lift and place them, plan on spending lots of time and energy trying to get the pole into the stupid pole-mount hole under the speaker, as well as an inevitable occasional smashed finger. On a lighter note, the EQ (just 2 band) is quite musical, and when I'm playing bass, the low EQ makes a big difference in the sound of the bass patch. Also the high EQ can really help adjust for a "ringing" or "thudy" room.
Quality
They seem to be made like a tank! I've not had any trouble with the ones I have now. I bought one in "Blem" condition however, and that one worked for about a week and then just made a "pop" and stopped working. However to be fair, when it first arrived, I was already suspect. These speakers have a MASSIVE piece of metal on the back, I assume to mount them to a wall in a permanent setup. The metal is probably at least 1/8" thick. I think a Mack truck could run over this piece of metal without damaging it. Well, on the "Blem" unit I received, this huge hulk of metal was very badly bent in toward the speaker. I can only assume that the company that sold me the unit must have dropped it from a very high place to incur such damage (perhaps from an airplane). Judging from the dent, I'm surprised that it even worked at all! Anyway, that unit was returned, and I bought a new unit to replace it, which has been a real gem.
Value
I think Behringer probably has the best powered speaker in it's price range. If money were no object (or less of one), I would go for Mackie equipment, but Mackie's powered speakers start at about twice the price and go up from there. Someone commented in an earlier review that he used the Behringers as home stereo speakers when not playing with the band. Although I've not tried that, they certainly would pass the audiophile test. When we play background CD's during breaks, the sound is every bit as good as my expensive home stereo, and loud enough to carry through a decent sized hall. Also, I always get comments from the audiences about how clean our band sounds when I use these speakers. We play jazz, standards, showtunes, soft rock, etc. so we're looking for a crisp, sparkling sound, and these speakers deliver.

The Wow Factor
If it were lighter and shaped a bit better, more stable when sitting on a flat floor, and could be turned up to full gain without the annoying hum, it might be close to the perfect unit for medium-sized gigs!

"DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS! I know they are cheap, this is what lured me in but they quickly fail and cause constant problems wit"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
Ease of Use
Too gangly to carry and too heavy. The cabinet is not intelligently designed with regard to mold wall thickness and the engineering polymer selected for the cabinet was selected for low cost without weight consideration.
Quality
I purchased 6 of these speakers. After about 50-hrs of use, under rated and poor quality radial capacitors in the filter section of the power amplifier board have failed. Five out of the six, which were purchased at different times have now failed on the gig and have had to be repaired. IMO, these speakers are of extremely poor quality and are constructed with inferior compoments. However, when they work...they actually sound pretty good, which is a shame for the consumer because we get lured in by the good sound and low price, only to quickly and after very little use begin to experience break downs and constant problems with these speakers. I would never buy them again, AT ANY PRICE because they are not reliable.

"Clear as a bell, no better speaker value available by any manufacturer!"

Sound
I could not believe what I heard when I first plugged them in!! Every instrument in every song came through crystal clear. Not only that but the output w/ the volume at it's lowest is louder than most sound systems... Super solid bass, clear treble but most of all not prone to feedback.
Features
Volume control, equalizers for high & low and if you wanted to hook it up to a mic directly there is a setting to do just that
Quality
Very well made, handle positioning makes it seem much lighter than it actually is... also has a holes for speaker stand or it can be laid down at an angle and used as a floor monitor.
Value
You can't beat Behringer in terms of quality of product vs price you pay for it. Friends of mine have Mackies, and these sound as good or better, and my pocket is less in pain from it.
Manufacturer Support
Great friendly service, answered my questions quickly and sent me in the right direction.

"Good until the amplifier goes out"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
They are great speakers until they start breaking.
Sound
The sound quality is great!!! (when it works). Has good bass response, you can pound some rap music or its also great for just a normal band.
Features
The input features allow for some flexibility. It is also nice to have the mic pre-amp built in.
Ease of Use
Just set em up and plug em in
Quality
The product appears to be a tank, and should be for what it weighs. But the weight is misleading. I purchased 4 of these and have already had to repair 2 of them after 2 years. The amplifiers in them are quite fragile and easily are damaged. They have been the source of the problems of the 2 speakers
Value
You get what you pay for. It works well when it works but when it breaks well you're without a speaker until they can get it repaired.
Manufacturer Support
Well I haven't dealt with the company directly. But the problem is when you need it repaired they can't disconnect the amp from the speaker. They have to send the entire thing in which is about 60-100 dollars round trip. It weights a lot!

Behringer B300 Speaker Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Quality
The sound is fairly good, the low end driver isn't as strong as I would like it to be. Also, the screws holding the front and back panel always fall out..causing a rattling noise. The product in this sense isn't very well made or durable for the gig's i've been on. I have three B300s and 1 has blown it's woofer, and all three have lost panel holding screws. If I could, i would sell these to get a pair of jbl EON G2's or Mackie SRM-450s.

"Great speaker for low price..."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I am very pleased with this purchase, I researched about 2 months before buying this product and was glad I did.
Sound
This speaker sounds great, we also have a pair of the JBL Eons and these little speakers compete on every level, for a cheaper price too!
Features
I love this speaker, because I am able to use it as an onstage monitor and then use it for a FOH speaker for smaller events. Very versatile.
Quality
I've had it about 3 months and have had no problems, I am very pleased with the sound quality.
Value
With a sound and quality that competes with the JBL Eon for half the price, you can't go wrong...
Manufacturer Support
I haven't worked with the company...
The Wow Factor
Looks good, yet small enough to be unobtrusive on stage as a monitor.
