Purchased new for my guitar rig. Using a Peavey Ultra 120 all tube head into 2 4x12 cabinets, with a basic pedalboard.(delay, chorus, wah and Maxon SD9 overdrive)...Loved my sound but was interested in the BBE maximizer from some comments and videos. Mounted 382I in my rack, installed last in effects loop, output goes into effects return on my head, and was blown away. This unit changed my sound so much i can't not use it anymore. If anyone says they don't work, or are noisy, they are doing something wrong. Quiet, solid operation and rugged build. Seems to open up the sound and presence of the spkr cabinets.

Use your tube amp (for guitarists) to its maximum potential! The maximizer cleans the amps natural tone (which gets lost and worn down between the preamp and the speakers) as its intended. Also boost highs and lows without muddying up your sound. Also no, absolutely no need for a boost or overdrive pedal if you use this

Musical Style:

Melodic death metal

This is my 4th BBE unit of various generations. Currently run two in my rack, one for my std guitar rig and one for my GR55 guitar synth rig. They do what is claimed regardless of anything negative one reads here and there. Just not the case. Inverts the phase as it claims and adds a EQ bump at 50Hz and 5KHx just as the specs indicate been tested on spectrum and phase measurement. They work and they are inexpensive. I would not be without one on my rigs. Always on.

I am on my 3rd generation BBE rack unit and getting ready to get a 4th for my new guitar synth rig. Just love what these do to your live sound. Big fan. I pulled my multi band EQ and just use my BBE units for enhancing the sound, Why some have something negative to say about them, probably from using them wrong or badly recording the device. It is a live sound phase correction device and it really is like taking a blanket off your speakers. I will soon have 2 rack units one for my std guitar rig and my guitar synth, they make a difference. Have to have them.

Musical Background:

retired from the band thing, home studio building, always up for a great jam

Musical Style:

Heavy fusion, ranging from roots in blues, rock, and metal. Expanded guitar synth rig.

this brought life into a pa system that didn't really need it. But you won't believe the difference once you use it.
Sound
Had a friend who listened to my band. When I was done he said my system sounded great then he asked if I was using a Sonic Maximizer. I wasn't at the time and he said man get you one of those. They are unbelievable. Few months went by and I finally bought one. this thing sounds great. It puts the tone where you need it. Low contour for the bass side. process for the high side. Corky from wonder years could operate this thing.
Features
Ever bought a piece of rack gear with 5000 buttons but no idea how to really use it. Not with this two knobs. adjust sound through the mixer board and eq then add this for extra punch or ultimate tone control.
Ease of Use
So easy a Cave man can do it.
Quality
solid piece very sturdy.
Value
I have been going back and forth on if I should buy this unit. After seeing what it can do. I'd buy two for 100.00us
Manufacturer Support
I wouldn't know about this.
The Wow Factor
I hear they are popular I see why.
