"EXCEPTIONAL PRO-GRADE CABINET!"

I'm very satisfied. I hear some complain about the weight. I'm 45 and can still hike it up - by myself - in the back of my truck.
Sound
Ampeg has this one right - a PRO rig. Combined with the SVT 4 Pro Head, I can get any tone I want. This thing handles 5,6 and 7 string basses with ease. I can get the Classic SVT sound or the Modern BASS sound. This rig is flat out versatile and LOUD. I simply can't say enough good things about this cabinet.
Features
The only problem is the skin. It scratches and becomes unsightly after a few moves. That is merely a cosmetic problem. The rig is a beast and can take some abuse. The horn is very nice and it has 1/4 or speakon connectors.
Quality
Simply put, this is one HIGH QUALITY cabinet. Solid construction and I have had ZERO problems with this cabinet over the last year and a half.
Value
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! This is a premium cabinet and delivers a truly exceptional tone.
Manufacturer Support
It is backed by a full 5-year warranty and I have not had any problems yet.
The Wow Factor
I will purchase another one shortly. It is a beautiful cabinet and competes with everyone in the band. My bandmates affectionately refer to it as "BEASTHOVEN"

I want another one. I can't imagine the sound of two of these.
Sound
You WILL NOT find another 4x10 that sounds like this. It has the full range of a full stack by itself. (weighs as much as one too though)
Features
Horn attenuation (level knob) with infinite settings not just a 1-thru-5 clicker, lgiht-bulb fuse thingy so you will not blow the tweeter, Speak-on and 1/4" inputs with pass-through and bridge capibility, WHEELS! (it would SUCK without wheels).
Ease of Use
you gotta know your power amp and pre's, this thing is real true sound. No hiding behind a muddy 15". If you flub a note or ring a string where it's not supposed to be, everyone around you knows it if you're playing through this cab. Also you never really hear how good this cab sounds standing right in front of it. about 15-20' in front of this thing is where the magic happens.
Quality
The paint is weak, but it kinda ads to the appeal. This cab will be like a fingerprint- no two will have the same markings. If you can appreciate Jaco's scratches & worn bass, this is the cab to have. If you have a bad Case of O.C.D. and need it to look perfect this isn't for you. The finish scratches real easy, which I think gives it personality.
Value
Probably one of the most expensive 4x10's available. That's beacause the others are incomparable to this.
Manufacturer Support
I blew one of the 10" drivers due to a malfuntioning head. I had a replacement in two days.
The Wow Factor
Ampeg namplate? Unmatched sound? Tough exterior? Different look than just about everything else? C'mon, it's a gotta have or gona drool over. I have at least TWO people ask me about it after every show.

"Sound for the serious player."

Sound
It is the best sounding bass cabinets I have ever owned. I use two cabinets a Tobius pro ASM bass,Bi-amped with Ampeg BR4 Mono-bridge @ 1000 watts, Crown amp Mono-bridge @ 1200 watts, Aleises compressor & Furman power protector. You dont need two cabinets for most rooms but you don't need hot babes to dance with either. but WOW are they fun
Features
Thank god for roadies, casters & years of powerlifting. It is one heavy cabinet. Unless you hate your back you will need a little help to stack the second one.
Ease of Use
Plug and play. Dont waste your time with a low powered or cheap amps. Get some headroom and have some fun.
Quality
The paint is very unique and easily scatched to create your own custom historical finish. LOL If you are anal about perfect finish don't ever move it and you will be ok.
Value
I love my Ampegs!
Manufacturer Support
No problems
The Wow Factor

"ONE LESS PIECE OF GEAR YOU WILL EVER NEED TO WORRY ABOUT..."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Forever, I've never even needed to think about buying or expanding to another cab, if anything I need something smaller for smaller gigs. This is it. If I can help it, it will be in the family for generations to come.
Sound
That bumpy, big butt, buttery popcorn low-mid ampeg sound all the way down to 18hz. Always cuts through, always heard on stage. I've put this against so many different cabs including every one that Ampeg made when mine was new, there was no comparison at all.
Features
Those beefy carved-in handles that don't crush your fingers and just plain don't exist on any other cab. The casters (my saving grace). A tweeter with a light bulb is really nice to have (having fried many on other cabs) as well as the ability control the tweeter's level on the crossover. The only issue I really have is my grille rattles a bit.
Ease of Use
I used to run a SWR SM 900 through it and coupled it with a mid-rangy carvin 210. Now I run an old Carvin PB 500 mono through it stand alone and it sounds perfect. Over my time with the cab, I've gone from loud heavy rock to Motown funk infused band and it just followed me into it. In a nutshell, it compliments anything you put through it.
Quality
If anything YOU are not made well enough for this cab... It keeps you from becoming the fat bass player, at 118LBS you'll have abs of steel and a back of frail driftwood. Mine has been dropped, knocked, peaked, burned, spilled upon, in freezing temps, blistering hot sun and (my favorite) driven 40 miles cones up in LA acid rain by an idiot I no longer talk to and if anything, it sounds better. I just don't worry about it, it's a TANK that proudly shows you where it's been over the years.
Value
I've had this cab new when they were first being offered for an absolute steal and I'm glad I did. This is the cab people are going to shell some serious cash for in another 15 years so get one now while you still can! IT IS WORTH IT
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to deal with Ampeg because my cab has never had an issue. I would imagine however that Ampeg is one to the top companies to deal with in terms of Customer Service.
The Wow Factor
One of the if not "THE" sexiest cabs I've ever seen--especially for the fact that it sounds even better than it looks! From the curvy birch to the massive grille to the sleek handles to the ports that look like they're going to shoot flames and the classic ampeg type carved into the side, you tell me, what cab looks sexier and sounds as good? I like that mine has a billion scratches.

Ampeg PR-410HLF Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Its a pretty good cabinet, I run my 1972 SVT head thru it.The first night I played thru it the guitar player said he could hear every note that I played, drummer and front man dug it to.Its not a in your face kinda of sound you would get from say a 15" or 4-10 speaks at hear level, which i ginda dig, but it rules in clubs and gives you a tite ass sound
