"Great sound, compressor is n/a, screws must be tightened"

compressor and the loose screws are the only issues
Sound
Great Ampeg growl, plenty loud! Breaks up just a little bit at high volume. The compressor gives only distortion however, apparently not designed or made properly
Features
Everything I expected having owned Ampegs for years, but the casters are way too small
Ease of Use
I would have given it a 10 here, but the buttons for post, pre and in out on the compressor are not marked for which position gives which result, and again the compressor is not any good
Quality
Good amp and design, but compressor is no good, and after reading online about these unit rattling apart I noticed upon arrival that ALL the screws needed to be hand tightened to snug. Fortunately someone on talkbass forums saw this problem right away so I was prepared to fix this issue when I got it
Value
Good loud amp with great tone, the compressor and the loose screws are the only issues
Manufacturer Support
I have never bothered or needed to contact Ampeg
The Wow Factor
Great portable rig for all kinds of gigs providing you are through the pa system

I use it for jobs that I don't have alot of space so I use it often.

Very nice amp. Has a warm sound from the tube preamp and many tonal options. I like the light weight too.

I don't like the covering. It tears very esily.
