The AG75CE is a great sounding acoustic/electric guitar that has good volume and a great balanced tone. The cedar top gives a nice warm voice with a nice hidden brightness when you strum thru the 1st and 2nd strings. Best for fingerstyle, but amazing when strummed. Its a great value for the sound and quality. Its going to be my main acoustic for as long as I can hold on to it for.

I love Alvarez at the Price! They make Quality Guitars at a decent price. $500. It will never sound like a Taylor but -$1500 I wouldn't expect it too! Taylor doesn't have a great sound until you spend $2000(my opinion) this $500 Alvarez is Solid, sounds very nice, especially finger picking or light flexible pick. Nice and Heavy weight to it and looks beautiful. Great intermediate guitar To Gig out with! Face it, you don't get much Quality anymore for $500! This is a Great Guitar in its price Range. If you want those extreme resonating low tones, spend $2000 on a Taylor or buy four of these Alvarez'. This Alvarez is Crisp sounding and the pickup system is nice as well. Good luck!

"Excellent guitar for intrumental lead & finger style, not for basic cover tunes"

I bought this guitar specifically for applying lead acoustic work over basic chord changes, similar to the style of Acoustic Alchemy. Bottom line...it is almost perfect for this function, not only in the way the body shape & cedar top work to balance the specrum but also in the physical dimensions & feel of the neck. It can execute, if necessary complex arpeggio stacks & sweeps even the occasional Holdsworth-ish legato run or two. Now for the brutally honest bottom bottom line...if you plan on using this guitar to play stripped down acoustic versions of top 40 rock & country tunes around the camp fire you will be disappointed, it is simply not built for it. The design & balance of this guitar accommodates punctuation typically found in fingered plucked chords and lead lines because of this, aggressive strumming of open chords in your average cover tune will have blurry spectrum annunciation, the lows and mids will fight each other while drowning out the highs. This guitar serves the function I need it for very well so I am happy with it but like I said...not the right one for strumming around the campfire IMO.

I returned this guitar because of the strummed sound. For finger style it sounded good, but when strummed the B & high E string overpowered the sound, resulting in a extremely bright sound...

"Sounds good"

The guitar was well setup, and in tune out of the box. It's sounds nice for the few minutes I've played so far. The only complaints i have are 1 there is a blemish in the finish and a scratch on the bottom of it. The only reason that bothers me is the blemished version was cheaper then the new one I bought by about a hundred dollars. I don't feel it's worth returning over just a little disappointed appointing. It's also not the same colors as displayed the back of the neck is the same color as the back of the body, in the picture the neck is faded which I liked. The body is slightly darker then pictured.it has a very clean sound and easy to play. Sound quality is that of a far more expensive guitar.
