Total vst control,hardware sturdy and software stable.Was thinking that the akai vip keyboard was more bigger,solid and prettier but I think i think the alesis version is just slimmer and prettier!!! Oh yeah,there is also is a 50 dollar mail in rebate if you buy one before 7/31/16 If your thinking of purchasing a vip controller but need to conserve space you can't go wrong with the alesis xv49. All the bells and whistles are the same trust me. The music production mvp has arrived to change the game! Now all your vsts are on the same team.With this integration all you can do is win! Only thing I hope they keep the vst maps coming.

Using this as a MIDI controller is super awesome and works as expected! But the real works with this product is the V.I.P software that comes with it. However I wish there was more information for the software. This product is really trying to focus on live performance with the ability to switch from a serum preset to a massive preset seemlessly! The software has its own mixing board built in and with a new update of V.I.P you can now use your own fx(like serumFX or effector a fl exclusive) within the software. Creating multis will never be funner and creating new sounds will be a more hands on process as you can change any parameter of your VST on board(with a little menu navigation) I give the VX49 a bow as it has exceed my expectations and plan to buy at least one more
