This module has all you need and eliminate all those onstage and instudio mics that have to be just right to get that great drum sound. It solved a huge amount of work and frustration that came with feedback, tone, and just a lot of extra work. I paired it with DDrum triggers and it works like a charm. This unit also allows for downloads of your favorite sample drums.

"Alesis SampleRack Pro"

This product could be so good. First the onboard sounds are a joke. I really purchased this as a closeout item for $135.00 and for this price as a 8 channel dual zone trigger to midi box I'm ok with spending this money. If I where relying on this product stand alone forget it. I'd bring it back. Main use is triggering addictive drums on a laptop using the Alesis SampleRack as the trigger converter. The controls for tweeting sensitivity are way too basic. Roland simply does this stuff so much better and theirs no reason a company like Alesis should release something so unrefined.

"Could be better"

This module is decent for an entry level drummer. This is not suitable for metal or anything heavier than traditional slow rock type playing. The module only supports a single kick drum and attempting to split signal results in terrible sensitivity. The interface is a joke and the samples are lackluster. Good luck programming this clusterfudge of a machine. I used to swear by Alesis when it came to drum modules since D4 and DM5 but this product is terrible. The SamplePad they just released is just as bad also. The drum trigger module has since been returned.
