"Too bad it is discontinued."

If it's working at this pace for the next 10 years I don't need another one.
Sound
Decent sound for the buck! No problems yet after 1 and 1/2 years. Recording with Adobe Audition 3.0 Pro at 32bit multitrack can produce studio quality recordings.
Features
You can record multitrack and send a different mix of the board to another receiver - ex: video recording.
Ease of Use
A kid can use it!
Quality
Excellent quality!
Value
Worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
None needed yet..

Sound
Sound is good so far using with Sonar 4 Studio.
Features
A little confusing on getting the recorded audio with the mic ins and my midi sound to the speakers. Guess I have to read the manual.
Ease of Use
You have to get the latest drivers from Alesis website or it ain't gonna work right!
Value
For what it does it's great! I have only used it a few times since I just got it but so far so good!
Manufacturer Support
Asked support about the drivers before I bought the unit but they never responded. They must be busy.

I've had this product for years. I've never noticed a drop in quality. I've never had any hiccups during live performances or recording sessions with it. Its great. I'm upset they discontinued it so soon into its life.
Sound
I've had this product for SEVERAL years. It still runs and sounds like i bought it yesterday. I've only had 1 other mixer i can compare it to sound wise (using the same monitors) and there was no noticeable difference. No noise increases etc.
Features
Shame they discontinued it - It is the perfect middle ground in comparison to the models they continue to make (8 channel and 16 channel etc)
Ease of Use
It works like any mixer out there - only snags i've ever had were firmware updates.
Quality
Still running like i bought it yesterday after several years.
Value
The best bang for buck at the time of purchase. I haven't regretted this purchase one bit. In fact, Its such a "rare" item - I can apparently sell it for more than I originally paid for it after looking at what others are selling these for online.
Manufacturer Support
They were not easy to reach. I sent them 8 emails and never received a response to one. I posted on forums regarding a small snag i had and eventually figured out the problem was my firewire cable on my own. Granted this product has been discontinued for quite a long time - but I expected them to at least help me and attempt to answer my questions.
The Wow Factor
If you can find one and you have no need for a 16 channel mixer and an 8 it too small. Then this is probably a gold mine to you.

This product is great, and an AWESOME deal for the discounted price! The only drawback is that it only has 4 mic inputs. If your miking a drumset you probably need the full 8 that are offered on the MultiMix16.
Sound
Reasonably low noise on the mic preamps. No Sound problems.
Features
Great features - it's full-featured mixer AND a FireWire audio interface. Even with a cheap recording tool like GarageBand, you can simultaneously record multiple tracks plus the main-mix outs (with 2 effects loops.) I don't know why people are paying twice as much for firewire interfaces with half the features.
Ease of Use
Make sure to download the updated drivers. On a Mac, installation was super-easy. I think the horror stories you hear about the drivers were about previous versions. Mine seems to work great!
Quality
Metal case can take a beating. Alesis quality.
Value
Unfortunately this model has been discontinued which means that it's deeply discounted to get it out the door. You can't find a better deal right now! It's half as much as the Alesis IO26 with twice the features!
Manufacturer Support
Great documentation in manuals and on-line. Never had to call anyone on the phone.
The Wow Factor
Looks great. Works awesome!
