This is a great kit if size and money are important to you. I live in a 11x15 college dorm where space is literally everything. This set comes in a small box (small for a drum set) and is easily packed within for storage. It only takes a couple of minutes to set up and break down, which is great for jamming between classes. Being a college student, money is an important issue as well. I have been researching kits for almost a year, and this was the only kit I found to be an outstanding value in my price range. The drums themselves sound great, and you can plug your headphones into the monitor to keep it quiet. The sound the pads make is no louder than a typical "Rock Band" set (the videogame), and cannot even be heard in the next room over. The stand is secure and withstands quite a beating. There is, however, an important con to this set that I wish I was aware of before purchasing the kit - I have not found the option (if it exists) to rig the hi-hat pedal to be used as a double-bass. I play a lot of rock and metal, so this part was crucial. Whether the pedal can be turned into another bass pedal or is non existent, it must be made more clear in the product description. This, however, is the only con I noticed.

Good fun, but needs some adjustment. The volume level of the snare is really low compared to the other drum pads, so you'll need to turn the other pad volumes down, and turn the snare way up; then turn the master volume up to compensate. Overall the quality of the hardware is great, the pieces are nice and tight and can take some abuse. The preset sounds are ok, they aren't all that different. The patterns to play to are so-so, I've really only found 2-3 out of 30-something that I'll play to. Lots of fun for amateur drummers, beginners, and kids!

I am just starting to learn how to program these drums but strait out of the box, they sound incredible for the price i paid! I have recording about 5 tracks with them and they sound like an acoustic set. Amazing deal, you won't be disappointed!
